Vandy/UGA will be 24-19 or 1-0. Wind is absolutely whipping here in middle Tennessee. If it’s blowing out, a high infield pop up could carry out of there.

Deepest pitching staff we ever had.

Both programs had good not great pitching, and decent hitting. The biggest difference seems to be familiarity with playing in the local climate. The wind caused some errors for the Vols and they are not good enough to overcome it with an evenly matched LSU.

"Not good enough to over come it"? So, at Mizzo, it was the cold weather. Then, mid week games mean nothing. Now, home field advantage is the reason you lost. You have about 20 more series left, you are going to run out of excuses.

Looking for the Hogs to get run ruled in their 4th straight. McEntire loves to pitch BP lately.

Not a chance. DVH won't let McEntire lose the series for us. At the first sign of distress hagan smith will be put in. That might be the first inning or the 8th.

I don’t see them keeping him unless they go on an absolute tear.

I like how State has played the last couple games. We missed some opportunities Thursday but we had a different demeanor on the mound. We lost our composure for a minute after what some would say was a bad call. That happens in baseball (and life) and you have to work through it. I’m looking forward to the game today.

Today's local climate issue will be the UV index, unfortunately. Look for excessive Volunteer sunburns to prevent an otherwise easy win.

It’s taken a couple of days but it appears Tennessee has adjusted to the heat and humidity in Baton Rouge.

I wouldn’t call it a choke. He gets behind every start and just doesn’t seem all there yet. And Dugas doing him no favors
