Reminds me of those chef shows with people like Marco Pierre White or Gordon Ramsey. Their style may seem very abrasive, but if you look at the results of their work, in terms of both the food and the chefs who have gone out on their own after being under their tutledge, it is hard to argue against the method.

Saban is hard to work for. Very hard. But he's never shied away from that nor has he not ever explained that to potential assistants.

Most of the best CEOs at Fortune 500 companies are hard to work for. But they get results. Saban gets results.

It is a balance, especially for a younger coach with small kids. But you will have the opportunity to work with one of the top 5 college football coaches ever and the opportunity to perform on the biggest stage your profession offers.

The man that I learned the most from in my profession was one of the hardest SOBs in the world to work for (jimdog probably feels the same way about the man), but it was damn sure worth it!
The comment about the coaching and the family was right on, too. Wives and kids DO benefit from the success that long hours usually produce.

I knew we had a live one after his first Spring practice in 2000. The reporters asked how it went expecting,"Bob threw well, Tom needs to be quicker off the snap, etc."

No, he went off on the ball boys and managers disappointed that they weren't better prepared with footballs and other equipment when the team went from station to station or drill to drill. I thought "this guy might be a little different."

He is weird that way, typical OCD about how he wants his operation to run.

His will not tolerate one lost minute of practice time, his people run it like military drills at top precision.

...when he lived in BR.

Humm... I wonder what could have been the problem here?

Honestly...wtf happened this week? Suddenly this board is full of LUSers going after their best coach ever in the dirtiest, most low-down ways imaginable, kids, wife, personal life, values, religion.. It is as bad as that ridiculous calumny about Coach Bryant being a wife abuser.

Suppose Alabama fans were on here every day posting shite about Os beating people in bars, head butting, and stalking women to the point restraining orders had to be issued? Suppose Alabama fans only posted about the LSU coach being alcoholic, multiple arrests, cheating, lieing, forced to leave Miami or go to jail, etc? Only difference is... the stuff about ”O”sshole is true. The stuff about Saban is pure calumny.

Just look at this shite... god help us... LUSers deserve all the ridicule they get.

I mean, what are we even arguing over on this thread?

Nick Saban: I love having him coach/CEO my team. Also, I would absolutely hate him being my father.

This all seems pretty simple and non-controversial.

Discipline is a mandatory ingredient to success, and few people find it enjoyable.

It's why he's the championship coach that he is. They are all that way when they are that successful.

2. He publicly said his wife is at fault for anything his children did wrong. Before you say "bullshite!!!!!!", let me walk you through it

He said Terry was concerned about making them happy, while he was concerned about raising them right. That is clearly saying the mistakes they made would be on the parent that "didnt focus on raising them right"

You're an idiot. This is something that any father should know about. If you don't know what he's talking about, then you probably don't have kids.

Because all I want to say to his statement is AMEN! The struggle is real.

As a husband and father I would never publicly blame my wife for not raising our kids correctly and her being at fault for mistakes

And honestly, Nick is a little off here. Fatherhood isn’t a football game. Sometimes children need discipline yes, but they also at times do need pure love and not you to let them know their every fault

I didn't really need to know who wears the pants in your family.
