I realize some of you on here are kidding. But no way would a coach move from the easy ACC Atlantic Division to the SEC West. Clemson is a cush job.

Alabama is Dabo’s Alma Mater. He played and coached there. He absolutely would leave Clemson to coach Bama. Matter of fact, it’s what I expect whenever Saban leaves.

LOL.

Why would Saban put himself in a position where he isn't coaching the most talented roster in the league?

No.

Agree, he tried it and failed. NFL salary cap prevents him from putting 120 players on the sideline. Takes more than talking to talented players and their parents in living room to win in NFL.

NEVER is a long long time.

It is all about the money and control (power).
Also, what can he achieve at Alabama that he has not already achieved (including this year)

My question is who has made more money the past 10 years, Saban or Sexton?

Considering Sexton has more than one client, I'm going to say Sexton.

Yea, no coach would ever leave the ACC Atlantic for the SEC West... right...

I'm not saying never. I'm saying right now. Who would you rather play against? The ACC Atlantic or the SEC West. I'd love to have Clemson's schedule.

Yep. And when the Michigan job was opening up after Lloyd Carr, Les Miles jumped at the job. Because it was his alma mater. Oh, wait, that didn't happen....

An NFL team would be crazy to match Coach Saban's alabama salary, and saban would be crazy to leave tuscaloosa for an amount less than $15 million per year...

The Michigan Job ain’t the Alabama Job. One is not like the other...which has more potential and track record of success? Plus Dabo is on record speaking glowingly about the potential to coach at Bama even while coach of Clemson.

I’m surprised that he hasn’t put his foot back into the nfl door.

A guy like him is eaten up alive that he’s got a big fail on his record as head coach in the nfl.

at the time Carr retired, Michigan had a more recent NC than Bama and was (still is) winningest team in history of college football.

and Miles was also on record speaking glowingly about coaching there.

Thing is, some guys jump at chance to coach their Alma Mater, some don’t.
Will Dabo if the opportunity arises? maybe. maybe not.

why not? He's got absolutely nothing left to prove in college football.

Maybe the challenge of the NFL will lure him back!

Because he's about to be 67 years old! Why move to another team and a team in the NFL at that age?

I just saw that Vegas had the highest odds for new Brown's HC as being Sean McVay.

Whaaaat?
Leave the hottest team with great young players that will be together for a few years yet, and then go to the most inept franchise. Granted they have some positives.

But oddly enough, Saban is not on that Vegas list.

The only reason would be his ego and taking on another challenge. He didn't entirely fail in Miami but he didn't excel either and to him that's probably the same as failing. I doubt he goes back to the NFL at his age but people do things a lot that don't make sense to the rest of us.
