LOL.

Why would Saban put himself in a position where he isn't coaching the most talented roster in the league?

No.

How funny would it be to see UT alum pry him away from Bama.

All the more reason for this to happen. Haslam helps his team get a great coach and helps Tennessee in the process.

The pieces seem to be falling into place.

Plus, Alabama (hell, any team), would be happy to provide Saban a job if things in the NFL go poorly. Can you imagine? Saban ends up at Auburn after a few years with Cleveland. Could happen.

Word from my agent source is that Alabama has already reached out to Dabo Swinney to replace Saban. Looks like the wheels are in motion.

And for everyone saying he "failed" in Miami, they had a top 5 defense in the league his 2nd season, but had to rely on Joey Harrington and Ronnie Brown for offense. The Dolphins went 1-15 with Cam the following the year, so maybe Saban overachieved with that roster.

Saban was facing a team that, instead of improving was starting to regress. He demanded total control, and managing the roster in the world of the salary cap was not a strength. The team was in a natural rebuilding cycle. Saban bailed because he knew he wasn't going to succeed in the short term.

The only pro team that Saban would go to is the NYG and the money would have to be pretty outrageous. It's no secret that the Maras have coveted him for 20+ years....maybe Seattle but Pete Carroll has a job for life up there so he long as he does not allow a wholesale collapse......Soooooo he's at Bama for the foreseeable future

He's definitely not leaving Alabama until he retires.

But I love the idea of spreading rumors as a distraction to their team.

So I'm definitely hearing that Saban is interested in the Browns job.

I think he'd consider going to NE if Belichick retired. He isn't going to one of, if not the worst run franchise in sports that is the Cleveland Browns.

I realize some of you on here are kidding. But no way would a coach move from the easy ACC Atlantic Division to the SEC West. Clemson is a cush job.

LSU making an opposing coach quit has some precedence. I could see this happening Saturday.

To anyone saying Saban isn't leaving. I will leave you with this....

Saban while at LSU...
quote:

''Things are a little different in the league now than when I was there,'' Saban said. ''After thinking about whether or not that's something I'm interested in doing right now, I'm very happy to be the coach here.''

Saban with the Dophins...
quote:

"I guess I have to say it," Saban said. "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach."

the only people to trust less than AU people saying this is going to happen are Gumps who say it wouldn't absolutely never ever happen. Or Finebaum.

Belichick reveres Paul Brown, and doesn't mince words with his affection for that city and team.

Saban's ego could absolutely be attracted by the prospect of winning where his former boss couldn't.
