I entered my name in a contest to get a chance to purchase one bottle of many choices....
I was lucky and was given such opportunity.
I chose Pappy Van Winkle 15 .
I am not an expensive Bourbon drinker so I may sell it and use the money to purchase a new weapon I want.
I see crazy prices....
Any idea of what it is worth in the market? (Dallas)
Are there different versions which may affect value?
Thanks Merry Christmas to all.

Most National Champs start with a weak team so as to tune up and give themselves a BETTER chance.

IMHO it is a bad coaching decision to start w a huge opponent. Yes, NATIONAL HEADLINES, but we are no longer using the computers of the BCS. At seasons end, the decision makers (sports politicians - HUMANS) will not FULLY consider the individual loses of a team....each conference will be trying to put their team in the playoffs. So an early loss IS A HANDICAP.

Remember when USA had to play the Olympics (basketball) with College Players while everyone else used PROS ??? No one consider the STRENGTH or CALIBER of competition... only WINS OR LOSES determined the trophy. The same when starting w a strong opponent and losing

Great for publicity and hype but a handicap for the team.

Maybe in THEORY it does not matter, but IN REAL LIFE it does.

re: It’s time to apologize

When he was playing badly... HE WAS PLAYING BADLY
When is playing well...HE IS PLAYING WELL.
It is what is is, no need for anyone to apologise

Kudos to him for being coachable and improving as he has,
Hope he continues to improve.
Heard him speak on a couple of occasions years back.
Be prepared to enjoy and laugh as well
quote:

That’s exactly why Coach O got that fat raise, he won a championship.

Give the coach THE BIGGG BONUS for winning...next year is a new year....earn it again.
Not when a couple of agents control about 85% or so of the coaches.
In the real world, you are paid bonuses upon achieving them each and every year. You do not get a bonus for you reaching a sales goal 3 years ago.
If a MONOPOLY did not exist in the world of "sport agents", that would be the ideal situation, with bonuses for winning EACH STEP OF THE WAY.
Those who actually win, may even make more money.
In today's world where the is a MONOPOLY in the world of SPORT AGENTS,
the next contract will be HEAVILY LOADED on the tail end.
This is why I disagree with the letting go of O at this point.

Having said that, it is actually a sweet deal for O,
his money is no longer depending on performance.

Just for kicks..let's say that O has a couple of crazy wins and endS the season on a HIGH NOTE. Then the next coach comes in and has good seasons, but not spectacular... would Scott be in the hot seat ?
So many haters ever since the beginning who had to stay in silence because of 2019 until their opportunity showed up....here they are again.

Had a new coach been brought in at the end of 2019 (hypothetically), he would have been given at least 3 years due to the losses of players, coaches etc and the condition of the team at seasons end...not to mention the COVID situation in 2020....BUT Scott did not hire O, and a lot of Louisiana folks seem ashamed of the Cajun accent,
....so, all excuses are now being used.

Same AD who got played by Jimbo for $7.5MM
...where are the results ?
+ 1.
Got us a National Title, could not have been so wrong....
and he gets less than 2 years after such....
14+ players departed with Off Coordinator, Def coordinator etc.
Oh, and one of those years w little practice to start over.... COVID year.I Have had season tix for 52 years, It may be time or someone else to have a chance at them.
So, how high are the season tickets going up ?
and the Tradition fund?
