Better explanation of why Alabama has 3 out of last 4 championships than the "they are lucky" angle imo. I would stick with this.

Why should we have lost to LSU 2012

Same reason y'all should have won in 2011 first game. Y'all out played us then. Even Saban said we out played y'all and deserved to win in 2012 but y'all made late plays.

Seriously? How can a fan of Lucky Les type that with a straight face?

I'm not saying Les doesn't get lucky. What I'm saying is that it's kinda ignorant to make it out that Saban steamrolls everyone and doesn't need luck. That's the point.

Everyone needs a little luck to win a title. But people make it seem like Bama doesn't need luck. Like Saban has never had a lucky break.

True and although they lost that 1 game, they still played for the SEC title and National title and won.

Sounds like somebody owns real estate in your head.

Every coach gets a lucky break now and then. Every coach has trouble getting his players to execute every game and on every play.

Last year Bama should've dropped further in the polls after losing to A&M.

The year before OK ST should've played LSU in the title game.

Call it luck or whatever, but I think it's more that he's the beneficiary of SEC/Bama bias. But then again he had a big hand in generating the winning that led to that bias being created in the first place.

I think Alabama gets the benefit of being so well respected and well known that they get chances for titles that others don't and if you give Saban a month to prepare, NOBODY is ever beating him. A less talented Saban team with that long to prepare probably beats more talented teams.

Everyone needs some luck in this game. Nobody has ever won a national title with every lucky bounce going the other way.

You seem to be ignoring all the times that Saban overcame luck going the other way, though. You're also overlooking the fact that Les Miles has pulled more golden horseshoes out of his arse than anyone in recent memory.

in 2009 Colt McCoy gets hurt first quarter of the title game

Yep. Texas was about to win by 10-17 points if he had not gotten hurt as well. Also, Mt FatAss's block of the UT fg was a straight up miracle fluke.

In 2011 LSU beats Alabama at home and wins the SEC but thanks to an OSU blunder against ISU, they back door into the title game

Yep. And OSU had a stronger resume and SOS.

And last season they again lose a home game to A&M and very nearly lose to Georgia, and should have lost to LSU and still make the title game.

Should have lost to LSU for sure. They beat UGA and deserved that one. Everybody but ND had one loss, so last year was more legit than lucky, unlike the other two.

First let me preface this by saying I believe NS is the best coach in college football. I was listening to the radio and heard a guy mention Saban is also the most lucky coach in football as well. As an LSU fan people call Miles lucky but if you look at it in 2009 Colt McCoy gets hurt first quarter of the title game. In 2011 LSU beats Alabama at home and wins the SEC but thanks to an OSU blunder against ISU, they back door into the title game. And last season they again lose a home game to A&M and very nearly lose to Georgia, and should have lost to LSU and still make the title game. While I believe they were the best teams in their respective years, I also believe Coach Saban has gotten incredibly lucky. So is saban the luckiest coach in college football? Maybe? It's an interesting question.

Interesting that LSU fans think Bama backed into the game as everyone ahead of them, except LSU, lost yet no LSU fan thinks a 2 loss LSU team, who got in only because everyone ahead of them lost, didn't back in. Face it, LSU fans are and were pissed that they didn't get to play a patsy like most other SEC national champs did.

Y'know....everything fell into place that needed to for Alabama after the loss to A&M. So, ok, they were lucky in that regard, but the other teams didn't take care of business or were on probation (tOSU). Then Bama punished the "next best" team out there.

National Championship? ......they earned it.

lolwut

Yeah, having your one loss come against Iowa State is somehow better than having your one loss be an overtime loss to the undefeated team that happens to be in the same division you are in.

Lol Bama fans don't read so well. I never said LSU didn't get lucky in 07. Never said that Les isn't lucky. Matter of fact I stated otherwise.
