No, but losing thre games pretty much invalidates your complaint. Bama crushed everyone but LSU in 2011.

You are not taking into account the scheduling bias against LSU. UF is the best team in the history of college football and any team having to play them every year is at a distinct disadvantage to the rest of college football. Poor LSU and FSU. It's amazing either have ever won a title.

I think the bias is more in favor of Alabama rather than against LSU.

It takes a little luck to win a national title. Absent the undefeated year, Alabama was lucky to get into the other two titles games. Same thing can be said about our national titles this decade as well.

bama has been fortunate in getting to the title game the past two years. Late season losses like that should probably end your national championship bid (not winning your division even more unlikely). LSU was lucky in 2007.

College football is a crazy game. An Oklahoma State missed gimme FG and a questionable touchdown by Stanford against Oregon change Bama history forever.

Talking point checklist
Scheduling bias in favor of Bama
BCS bias in favor of Bama
Lucky breaks in favor of Bama
Refs in favor of Bama
REC in favor of Bama
Pope in favor of Saban

What did I miss?

Dude, EVERY coach is lucky. Just about everyone has said that. That every part, includes Saban.

1. Cart McCry is a bleeding vag, and he only lasted for 1 drive. There was no clear indication that he would have sustained any success against BAMA's defense throughout the game.

2. Any team that loses to ISU is not worthy of the BCSNCG, and is suspect. OSU was suspect that year and definitely NOT better than either BAMA or LSU.

3. Saban lost to the eventual Heisman winner and a top 10 team, didn't get blown out, didn't actually lose to two other top 10 teams even though he "should have" lost to at least one.

"Luck" is always a factor in winning a NC. Every NC team had multiple "lucky" breaks. I don't like to call it "luck" but opportunity. Good coaches prepare well and keep their team in games. When opportunities present themselves, good coaches capitalize. Saban is a damn good coach because he rarely squanders an opportunity presented by his own team's fortunes or another team's mistakes. In other words, I am not so bold as to say that "luck" is not a factor, but it's not the BIGGEST factor IMO.

So it's just coincidence they seem to skate by difficult east opponents every year?

Are you just trolling now? It's been admitted multiple times. Now, your original question was Saban the "most lucky" coach? No. Luck almost always evens out over time and thefore Sabana is neither substantially more lucky or less lucky than other coaches. The difference in results over time is due to factors other than luck I'm sorry to tell you.

Whats odd to me is thar LSU fans ignore the fact that for the majority of CFB history Tennessee was a better program than Florida or LSU.

It is impossible to ensure equality of scheduling every year because the game is cyclical. Unless you plan on doing away with divisions entirely and setting up each seasons schedule the summer prior I dont really know what they are complaining about.

Happens to everyone at times. A&M has that in its favor this year too. We are still waiting for LSU's turn for that.

The topic has been beaten to death on this board.

Spurrier and Miles are always on the warpath about the schedule. I'll let them carry that water.

And who is A&M playing annually now?

They were lucky in 2011 and 2012 but there was no luck involved in 2009 whatsoever. Texas was shut down on offense by the only two decent defenses they faced that year (Oklahoma and Nebraska). They were great defensively but their offense was nothing special. Their first two scoring drives were caused by special teams (botched fake punt by Bama and recovered onside kick). It wasn't like they were moving the ball up and down the field when McCoy was in there. I don't think Bama would have had any problems stopping that Texas offense. They shut down Tebow and Florida in the SEC Championship Game and Florida's offense was way better than the Longhorns offense. I really doubt Texas would have won that game even with McCoy in there for the entire game.

Since Saban been at Alabama has played these east teams:
07: Georgia, Tennessee, Vandy. Georgia won the Sugar Bowl. Tennessee, won the East and beat #18 Wisconsin in the Outback.
08: Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida. UGA was preseason top 5, didn't finish that way beat Mich. St. in the Citrus. Florida won a MNC.
09: Kentucky, Tennessee, So Car. UF. You get the picture.
10: So Car, UF Tennessee. GFY
11: Vandy, UF, Tennessee. Sucks to be them.
12: Mizzu, Tennessee, UGA. Sorry, for scheduling.
