He is now pulling the best QBs, RBs, and WRs. Not only is he pulling them, but they are being developed. All of this while going through multiple different OCs.

The dude is stupid good at this coaching thing.

That's the most striking thing for me. He's had more turnover than almost every other SEC school (because of success) and he just keeps reloading players AND coaches.

He's the GOAT for a reason. I obviously hate what hes done for Bama but, I love that he brought LSU a natty and a new identity for football

Tip of the cap to the man

BAMA fans have been trying to tell people why that is for years. It's Saban's offense. All the coaches he hires come in and learn his offense, his terminology, and his personnel. They all bring and add just a little of their own flavor to the system so it continues to grow and get better over time, but it will always be Saban's offense.

That's because unlike almost any other coach, he makes his coordinators run HIS system, and use his terminology. Any new wrinkles or changes to the offense have to be signed off on by Saban. This makes it really easy on the players to transition to new coordinators.
But also, he keeps the best things that the coordinators have left behind, so the current Alabama offense has been influenced by Kiffin, Sark, and now Bill OBrien

Kiffin really screwed the SEC when he brought Bama’s offense up to speed.

The OCs get a lot of press and their talent to dial up the right stuff is important. But they aren't down there reinventing the wheel. Bill O'Brien, like Sark before him, isn't teaching the offense his language, he's learning ours. Coming in and completely changing philosophy and language would be the kind of stuff that keeps young guys from progressing and adapting as fast as they are doing.

Yep, coach Saban has got this transition thing figured out.

His personality has honestly become the identity of the whole athletic department, if not the entire school. Everything Alabama does now has to meet a certain standard, and everything seems to point back to the high mark set by the football team, not only in wins but in how things are done.

When it's like that, the names and faces may change but the identity of the program remains the same.

I don't know if it was like this when Coach Bryant was there, but I certainly hope it remains after Saban is gone and we don't have to endure another prolonged stretch of Dubose/Fran/Shula types.

I have no doubt that the man would be a superstar CEO with most any multinational mega corporation in the world.
His personality traits, along with his intelligence would almost make him a "can't miss". The business world at that level is just as competitive as big-time athletics.

Although not as sophisticated, Coach Bryant's personality(very similar to Saban's) was ingrained all over the University's image.
That's what very special and successful people do for institutions, business, etc. if they are there for extended periods of time. They're called...leaders.

For sure his staying power has been the ability to withstand constant personnel changes and fundamentally changing his offensive philosophy to stay relevant.

I don’t think the game will ever see another coach on his level. You gotta respect that.

Saban gets a decent linebacker to transfer to Alabama and now it's non stop saban dick sucking all over the place.

Everyone knows he is the best coach in college football. What is the point of these threads.

Meaning, getting to the mecca of college football and learning how to finally have back-to-back 10 win seasons. TitleTown will do that to a coach.

Les Miles could've taught him that.
