Ole Nick couldn’t handle big boy football. Didn’t know how to lead grown men. Daunte Culpepper over Drew Brees. What a genius.

It's interesting that you refuse to place any blame on Saban for missing on Brees
Do you even realize that I was responding to the thread from SouthernInsanity that stated,"Be successful after failing at the highest level... meaning an NFL head coach?".
I stated Saban said on various occasions that he preferred having control of the program he coached, and THAT'S the reason he came back to the college game!..it's just that simple.

He is now pulling the best QBs, RBs, and WRs. Not only is he pulling them, but they are being developed. All of this while going through multiple different OCs.

The dude is stupid good at this coaching thing.

He's a good coach. Definitely above average. But take away the REC, and that's all he is.

Ok with me but since Saban is 9&1 vs LSU the last 10 games does that make LSU peewee football?

It’s not pee wee but everyone knows pro football is the cream of the crop.

I don't think that you even believe the shite you're spewing.
Regardless, it makes you look like a bleeding vagina, so have at it.

He is the best college coach of all time. He won 6 titles for you. Can Bama fans just admit he was not a good pro coach? Its ok if you weren't good at the highest level you are still the best college coach of all time. What is the big deal?

No Bama fan thinks he was a “good” pro coach. We don’t have much to go on but he was simply an “average” coach in those couple of years, in every sense of the word. His skill set doesn’t translate to the pros.

He's had two QBs drafted in the first round the past two years with none going any higher than the fifth round before 2020. Bryce Young was the #1 QB from the Class of 2020 and Ty Simpson is one of the best three QBs of the Class of 2022.

I'd say that assertion is accurate as of right now.

Les Miles was doing it three seasons in a row with the program Saban built.

And then Les did it 4 years in a row with the program he built.

Les is a scumbag, and he earned his dismissal, but let's not pretend that he was a bad coach.

So did coach Saban. ONLY AT ALABAMA. In fact, coach Saban has had back-to-back 10 win seasons for 13 straight seasons and counting. How about Les?

Les wouldn't have been able to do that if not for Saban building LSU into what it is. His success was directly attributed to what happened from 2000-2004. LSU continues to excel because of what Saban did there. Which is why it's laughable that some people think Alabama will fade back into the days of Mike DuBose/Mike Shula when he leaves.

Riiiiiight.

The players that put together the GOAT season in college football in 2019 were in diapers the last time Saban coached a football game for LSU.

Hell, some of the coaches on that staff were in grade school.

I can. And I couldn't care less.

Lovie Smith went to the Super Bowl as a head coach, and after that he was as shitty of a college head coach as anyone. Who gives a frick?

If being a successful NFL coach was the be-all and end-all of football coaching, why was Smith dogshit in college AFTER going to a Super Bowl?
