A kickoff through the uprights results is some type of points. Still a touch back.
15 yard PF penalties enforced on the kickoff would have some meaning.
Years ago I think you got points for it.
Call picks and linemen downfield from the box, go back to 1 yard instead of 3 yards.
Unintentional targeting does not result in ejection. Intentional targeting maybe a quarter instead of a half.

Targeting, lighter application of the rule. No penalty unless it looks bad.

It’d be nice if they actually called it at three.
I would even settle for keeping it at 3 yards if they made it a reviewable play like you can review and see if a play flagged for PI to see if the ball was tipped first.

If a player is injured he has to wait until the next drive to come back in
That's a good one.

Change review system to a challenge system like the NFL.
Players are not perfect.
Coaches are not perfect.
Refs are not perfect.
All personal fouls result in playing a man short for 10 plays.

I would love see the clock keep running on first downs. College football games are 31% longer than NFL games. When you add in National televised games with extra TV timeouts it's turns into 5 hours games.

A full quarter to protect the health of the players.

I like this but make it flagrant - a “power play” in football would be fun

Keep it like it is for the last two minutes of each half.

Targeting
Can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find this one. Targeting might be one of the worst rules in all of sports. It should be addressed IMMEDIATELY

My top 2 rules would be
1) The previously mentioned linemen downfield rule only being 1 yard instead of 3
2) If play is stopped for an injury, that player must sit out the rest of the drive.
Offensive efficiency is way too high now and I’m tired of watching players dive and fake injury.

The ability to call the refs out when they screw up. And to find out what happens to them when they do.

1 free transfer after 18 months on campus. Except for players in legal trouble. No lateral transfer for players in legal trouble.
Targeting reviewed with maximum of 2 quarters out of game.
1 yard for lineman instead of 3.

Must sit out until a change of possession. Maybe he is the rare bird that plays both sides of the ball.

So what happens when on 3rd and goal from the 8 the running back gets stuffed and “fumbles” the ball through the back of the end zone?
Give the ball back to the offense where possession was lost.
Example: player gets hit at the 3 yard line and fumbles the ball out of bounds in the end zone.
Offense retains possession at the 3 yard line.

Or force a team to call a timeout to bring the player back in. Sometimes a qb gets roughed up, they bring in the backup, and then the following play the starter goes back in. I understand that you're referring to dlineman going down on a tempo offense, but has to work both way.

I will start it off - change targeting so that disqualification only occurs on second call in same game against a player. Since targeting does not have to be intentional, disqualification is too stiff a penalty on first call
I am completely on board with this, same set up as personal fouls.
Sure, some players would still get the short end of the stick but it would be a tremendous improvement from the current state of the rule and it would help slow the pussification of the game we love. This rule change would not end the war on football but it would be a giant step in the right direction.

I will piggy back off of this one. I hope they make a rule where if targeting was not called on the field, or any penalty for that matter, that it cannot be called during a replay review. I saw this against AU and many other teams this season. If not called on the field then no penalty, PERIOD.

Makes sense, but I'd be concerned with coaches faking two injuries then calling a timeout to get players back in after all that rest.
Might make more sense to make it a defensive rule. Or make the rule that players can't return unless you burn a timeout in that play.

In case of the end zone, the defense has done nothing to deserve to earn a turnover.
Maybe the offense shouldn’t fumble the ball? Where do you spot it in that case? In this case, where would Saban want the bowl spotted:
