The fact that Puppets and Rabern are pushing the fact that Jalen is a good QB is all I need to know.

I wouldn't trade for either one. But of the 2 Hurts has proven more. Bama fans are just setting Tua up to fail unless he blows everyone out. Being the starter is alot different than garbage time and a few good plays in one game. See Jeremy Johnson if you need a comparison.

This OL will be better. A lot better. Wills and Leatherwood with Piersbacher at center, Cotton at LG and I can’t believe our LT name escapes me at the moment. That’s three players in the first two rounds of the draft if all 3 don’t make first round. Piersbacher will get drafted later and Cotton as well. He is a great run blocking guard.

Coach Saban feels at this point his oline will be a strength.

he could start at LSU

Any LSU QB will outplay an a7m QB. See the last 7 matchups.

This is a first, but I agree with you Rab.

I've personally seen very little of Tua in live action, Jalen on the other hand is a proven commodity. I'm excited to have 2 guys at the position, now it's up to Coach to keep 'em happy.

Ehhh, likely not. I mean, I am not sure he would have beat out Etling

Ehhh...

Etling couldn't run, couldn't pass

Hurts can run like a deer, can't pass

Hmm... I think Hurts would have gotten the call at 7SU.

So Hurts having 51 yards more a game rushing than Etling is the difference between running like a deer/not being able to run

but

Etling having 41 more yards a game passing simply means they are the same?

Again, READ THE THREAD TITLE I heard that you can tell alot about a person when they're called out...well, you've been called out and you deflected. That smells of chickenshit to me.

But the conversation was about the OL before you jumped in. We were talking about how the OL made Hurts a run first type QB, because he didn't have much time or became gun shy when the OL let DLs in. You sure as hell didn't call me out and I never reacted to your post with a so called attempt at insults as my only retort. If I just would have said "Airbnb, you are a dumbass redneck", you would have a point.

Hurts could be a great RB. He’s elusive as hell....

While I like Jalen, I liked Blake Barnett too.

We got along without him, we could get along without Jalen too.

Maybe he has more throwing ability than we've seen. If he doesn't though he should move to TE or H-back if he wants an NFL career.

I've got one last question for you, SkyKing. How does a QB put upAll-American stats with a dogshit offensive line?..let's hear all those short passes, running for his life, got lucky type excuses you always regurgitate when "called out".

He’d be good in an offense like Rich Rod ran with Pat White

I can't knock the kid. Who else has led their team to a Championship game in back to back seasons?

The difference is we got there in spite of our kicker!

Using a small sample size lets look a Tua performance. He threw 24 passes and completed 14. Seven were for less than 10 yards (safe passes), 3 were for 10-15 yards, and 1 for 41 yards (game winner). In regulation he was 13 for 23 for 123 yards, and thru 3 passes that were or should have been INTs, and multiple sacks. That is how you can have AA stats with a dogshit OL. Tua did it despite the OL troubles. Any other questions ?

I'm sure Hurts won't know in time to transfer before the season. Saban has no reason to tell them early if there is a chance he really would leave.

So you think the 10 more total yards Hurts got a game, while being on a far better team, would have translated to him being better at lsu?

To be fair, you have yet to include Hurts rushing td's whenever you are comparing their stats. If you include those stats, Hurts does look better for LSU

Well, Jalen...

Hope you’ll stay, but good luck to you wherever you end up. Appreciate all that you’ve done for us the last couple of years.
