Jalen Hurts Soon Become 'The Biggest Free Agent' in CFB History?
Is there that big a market for a scrambling QB that can't throw?

"I told Jalen, you f--ked up, you opened the door and put yourself in this situation," Averion Hurts, Jalen's dad, told B/R in an exclusive interview

Seriously.
He's not a good QB. Him and Danny Etling had similar passing stats this year and the team surrounding Hurts was far better in basically every aspect.

Damn! I thought I could beat a Barner to posting this first

I really like Jalen but if I have to pick it’s Tua. He provides an element to this offense that makes it nearly indefensible with the OL and RB this team has. Jalen has had two championship games to prove he can get it done and while his legs were certainly a benefit in 16 defenses have adjusted and he simply can’t get the big win done. Dad putting this out there has probably cost his kid the job. If I’m Saban I’m not letting Jalen dictate the position with threats.

UF Bound. Mullen will make him Dak 2.0.

he could start at LSU
I don't believe he would with this regime.
Les Miles probably would've loved his toughness and inability to pass to though.

he could start at LSU
Keep in mind, their passing stats were similar, and that is with Hurts having the advantage of being on Bama

I can’t believe you put him and Prescott in the same sentence.

I thought the OL was the biggest issue with Bama's Offense last year. Why Hurts was the only one who could have won games because of his scrambling abilities. I think that is why Saban stayed with him so long.

Any tweets from Lane Kiffin on this?

This OL will be better. A lot better. Wills and Leatherwood with Piersbacher at center, Cotton at LG and I can’t believe our LT name escapes me at the moment. That’s three players in the first two rounds of the draft if all 3 don’t make first round. Piersbacher will get drafted later and Cotton as well. He is a great run blocking guard.

Jalen Hurts, with Bama teammates and coaching staff
60.4%----8.2 Y/A----148 pass yards/game--61 rush yards/game----17tds----1 int---150.2 rating
Danny Etling with LSU teammates and coaching staff
60%-----9.0 Y/A-------189 pass yards/game--10 rush yards/game----16 tds----2 int----153 rating
Jalen hurts, considering the team around him, was a very poor qb. It sucks that Bama finally figured that out and moved on

Dumb to push Saban's hand but Tua hasn't proven anything that should put him ahead of hurts. 1 good play after a really dumb play doesn't prove he has what it takes week in and week out in the sec. Hurts will regret it when Tua turns into another top QB to bust under Saban and they need someone else.
