Dumb to push Saban's hand but Tua hasn't proven anything that should put him ahead of hurts. 1 good play after a really dumb play doesn't prove he has what it takes week in and week out in the sec. Hurts will regret it when Tua turns into another top QB to bust under Saban and they need someone else.

The fact that Puppets and Rabern are pushing the fact that Jalen is a good QB is all I need to know.

From article:

"I told Jalen, you f--ked up, you opened the door and put yourself in this situation," Averion Hurts, Jalen's dad, told B/R in an exclusive interview in the Hurts' hometown of Channelview, Texas. "Now it's up to you to dig yourself out."

Damn: "Thanks Dad"

He is good for what Saban had on the OL last year. He is a bad passing QB. Some coach will make him the talk of College Football, my guess is it will be in Mullen's Offense.

This OL will be better. A lot better. Wills and Leatherwood with Piersbacher at center, Cotton at LG and I can’t believe our LT name escapes me at the moment. That’s three players in the first two rounds of the draft if all 3 don’t make first round. Piersbacher will get drafted later and Cotton as well. He is a great run blocking guard.

First, he wouldn't be playing ANYWHERE in the SEC..ain't happening!
Expect to see packages for BOTH QBs to start the season. Alabama's good enough to win with ME QBing for the first half of the season. After that, it'll be the best man wins (probably Tua ).

Saban's already said that the Oline is the strength of the offense this year...and he doesn't often go out on a limb if he's not confident.

And yet it was somehow enough to come from 13 down against the SEC Champions in their home state with only a half to work with.

All before the 2 aforementioned plays

I am not sure he would have beat out Etling

Hurts had almost 900 yards rushing last year.

His running ability alone would have instantly made your offense better than with Etling

The two boogs know JH would have been the perfect Qb for the GusBus system and they can't have him.

I know the second half was painful for you but you should have watched it.

So you think the 10 more total yards Hurts got a game, while being on a far better team, would have translated to him being better at lsu?

Hurts would need a different system than last year (Daboll had no idea how to use him, highlight his strengths and mitigate his weaknesses), but I think he can be a generally effective college qb in the right system.
