The Sooners can win, but to do so we'll have to correct a lot of issues in a really short amount of time. Both teams are having OL issues. Mateer's problems are well documented, but some of that is caused by the OL not giving him time. Defenses on both sides are strong; however, I'm sensing OU's defense is beginning to show a lot of frustration.

I'm hoping Newbauer gets a chance.

Not with our O-line it isn't.

This matchup has lost its luster as the past years. Basically because of Oklahoma shitting the bed this year.

This rivalry is known for being pretty crazy. If OU can get a run game going it could be an interesting game. The problem is Texas has the best run defense in the country so I doubt this is the week that OU finds success on the ground.

Anything can happen in this game. I remember a broken Charlie Strong ramming it up our arse in a game Texas had no business competing in. If Mateer can somehow regain an iota of confidence and make a few plays the defense will keep it close.

Texas isn’t spotting 21 on OU’s defense. Go root for another school. Lame.

I realize anything COULD happen.

We've already seen NC State fumble in their own endzone while trying to run the clock out to lose to Vandy. The other night a winless Idaho was awarded an extra second on the clock and handed undefeated Montana State it's first loss of the season.

But let's get real.

No matter how well or how poorly Manning plays, anyone who has seen Mateer this season cannot possible believe he can move the ball against the saxet defense. Between the whorn defense and special teams there will be at least one score for a touchdown, which will likely be all that's needed to beat OU this year.

So all you orange faithful cut this reverse-voodoo shizz, it ain't gonna work and your team doesn't need it anyway.

Let's just play the damn game already.

This will be anything but a shootout

This should be an epic stomping if we had an offensive coordinator not named Sark. Flood, Banks, and Milwee are also pretty mediocre. OU would be fools not to exploit our special teams frickery the way Kirby always does.. Instead, Texas by 10-14 points.

I expect Arch to play a below average 1st half and an above average 2nd half. In the 2nd half he will have 1 really good drive.

This will be enough for people to say he’s great and everyone was wrong

The truth will be that Texas Defense is carrying the team much like LSU in 2011.

Sooner or later Arch won’t have a good 3rd quarter and the Texas defense will wear down.

This won’t be that game.

You guys stomped us last two years…what are you talking about? I predict Whorns win by 3 or more TDs.

I'm talking epic stomping the way Stoops used to do to Mack. Sark can't do that with all his overcomplicated bullshite.

Sark has had a pretty grasp on how to play OU outside of the game when Caleb Williams relieved Spencer Rattler and immediately wrecked shop. I think he understands how damaging losing to OU constantly was to Mack Brown's reputation as a coach.

It's OU/TX. Anything can happen, but not with this OU team. They ain't it. Congrats UTerus on your victory.

In 1905, Oklahoma and Texas played to a 0–0 tie late into the fourth quarter before OU's Bob Severin tackled a Texas ball carrier in the end zone for a safety, winning the game 2–0.
