You could make an argument that Taylor Bertolet is responsible for A&M not winning the 2012 BCS title.

Has there ever been an Auburn game lost due to kicking?

For Bama, I can think of one win recently due to kicking, and it wasn't much, but by Bama kicking standards, it was tops.
I can think of a more recent and bigger game we won because of kicking: Adam Griffith in our first CFP championship game against Clemson. He made the FG to tie and, on the ensuing kick-off, followed it up with the onside kick...that onside kick changed the game...and it was not an easy kick to make...
Griffith also had a huge game in the 2015 Iron Bowl as he made 5 FGs that game...I remember he nailed a 50-yarder right before halftime, after Malzahn called a timeout and sent out a return man to try and ice him...

Purdue 2019 - kicked a field goal as time expired for a 3 point win
Also Arkansas 2019 - we kicked a field goal
late in the quarter to provide the last three points of the win.

Has there ever been an Auburn game lost due to kicking?
ETA: Vaughn was 12-15 in FGs the year before and 7-9 coming into the game. He went 1-6 against LSU, and then finished the season out 4-5. They put voodoo on that kicker.

Recall recent games where your team won (or lost) due to your kicker
Does it have to be an actual FG attempt?

In the '84 Iron Bowl, a few minutes after the Wrong Way Bo play, Robert McGinty missed a 42-yard FG in the waning seconds...Auburn lost 17-15...
The Kick in the '85 Iron Bowl...Van Tiffin made a 52-yarder as time expired to beat Auburn, 25-23...

Jamie Christenson won like 4 games for us in 2005

I remember Money's game winning kick as time expired in the Cotton Bowl that season...it didn't go end over end but more like sideways and I don't think it ever got more than 12' off the ground. I started cussing as soon as he shanked it...and than laughed as the kick somehow cleared the cross bar and just got inside the left upright. Ugliest dang kick I ever saw...but it was a game winner...

2000 Orange Bowl. Bama goes up big early on Michigan but Touchdown Tom leads the comeback. Michigan has shot at a FG to win the game outright at the end of regulation but Bama blocks it. On to OT, where Michigan scores a TD and Bama scores one to match, but Ryan Pflugner misses the PAT to hand the Wolverines the win. Younger me took a long time to get over that game.

Two separate times we had a kick to beat LSU in the last 6 years and missed both. Missed USA kick lost to them. UK made a 51 yarder against us to win as time expired.

As a South Alabama fan, I definitely know of a missed kick that cost MSU a win
South Alabama is what came to my mind...but then again, it is hard to blame the kicker for being behind to South Alabama in the 4th quarter in the first place.
