Recall recent games where your team won (or lost) due to your kicker

Let's hear about some games that we may have forgotten about that your team won, or lost, due to your team's kicker.
For Bama fans, this is a tough topic. There haven't been many games won, or helped winning, by Alabama kickers. But there have been losses for sure.
For Bama, I can think of one win recently due to kicking, and it wasn't much, but by Bama kicking standards, it was tops.
That's Bama's 2014 OT win over LSU, where the much maligned Adam Griffith made a 27 yard FG to send the game to overtime.
Now for the notable losses:
1. Kick 6. To me, it really wasn't that last kick that lost the game. Bama probably would have lost in OT any way. It was all the shitty kicking that preceded that last kick.
2 FGs missed or blocked (33 and 44 yarder) Because of this, this led to, IMO, Saban's worst, yet understandable, game play decision ever when he decided to go for it on 4th and 1, up 7, on the AU 13 yard line with 5:30 to play. No brainer to move it to a 2 score game, but with no kicker Bama had to go for it and didn't make it.
2. 9-6. Good Lord. I guess Bama did make 2 FGs of 34 and 46 , but missed on 4: 44, 49, 50, and 52. Not the shortest of kicks, though.

The games weren't necessarily lost, but crucial kicks were missed for A&M in 2012 against UF and LSU

2013. South Carolina.
Still finished #5 in the nation.

Kentucky 2017. Our kickers went 0/3 from field goals and 1 of 2 for extra points

How about every game we’ve lost to Tennessee in the past ten or fifteen years pretty much ... and a couple others, one to Mizzou and one or two to Kentucky and A&M
Not unusual for us to miss two or three FGs a game in recent years especially.

I was at FSU on Oct 1st, 2016 for the UNC vs FSU game (when FSU was good). Mitch Trubisky leads UNC on a last second drive down the field. Nick Weiller hits a 54 yard kick in the corner where I was sitting for UNC to beat the Noles. Entire stadium goes silent.

2003 vs LSU.... Groza award winner missed multiple field goals and cost us the West.....

2009 with Lane Kiffin coaching Tennessee, our kicker missed two FGs and had two blocked, the most notable being Mount (Terrance?) Cody at the end for the game winner .. lost 12-10. Alabama goes on to beat Texas in the BCS National Championship. That one stung..

You could make an argument that Taylor Bertolet is responsible for A&M not winning the 2012 BCS title.
vs. LSU: 2 missed field goals (33, 51) 1 missed PAT. Had Bertolet made the 33 yarder and PAT, it would have been 24-22 after A&M's final touchdown with a 2 point conversion attempt to potentially tie the game. Even had they missed that, A&M's final desperation possession would only have required a field goal to win

A whole bunch of games coached by Dan Mullen at State. He refused to use a schollie on a kicker.

Never depend on a kicker. That is why I hate NFL Coaches. Once they get in range , they shut the offense down.

I could list games we lost because we had no kicker under Mullen. It was his one kink in armor.
I do remember as a younger winning close games with a guy named Scott Westerfield who was never out of range and either the guy before him or after. Sherrill always had great kickers.

As a South Alabama fan, I definitely know of a missed kick that cost MSU a win

I remember Leigh Tiffin missed about 4 fg’s and an extra point against Arkansas in 2006. They were all 37 yarders or less. Worst kicking performance I’ve ever seen in a game.

I don’t know if won or lost is appropriate.
But Hot Rod was huge for us in winning the Rose Bowl in 2018, but also really hurt is with his missed kick in the SECCG this past season.

Won: 2016 LSU. I'm pretty sure Carlson scored all of our points that game I think that was the game that got Miles fired from LSU.
Lost: 2013 NCG against FSU. If Parkey had made the field goal during regulation we probably would've went to OT and might've won. I realize other things happened besides that, that lost us the game like Gus taking his foot off the gas like he had several other times that year.
