What is the reasoning for this?

It's not like LSU has only ever hired Cajuns.

I think he will have teams similar to his ND teams, but in the SEC that equates to 9-3ish, maybe 10-2 type seasons.

Well, we don't need a little dictator in Baton Rouge, but I think the guy that grew up in a working class catholic neighborhood and started his career in politics will be just fine with the movers and shakers in Baton Rouge.

Bull fricking shite! This whole "not a great culture fit" is a bunch of over blown crap! You think Saban was a culture fit here? GTFO!

They gave a fricking Retard and a Caveman full control! Think about that and maybe you might want to change your pitch! Brian Kelly does and will have full control. You can bet your arse on that!

I think somebody in national media who didn't know anything about LSU besides Coach O's voice must have made some comment and people just ran with it.

efine “successful”.

If his first 5 years at LSU look like:

7-5
8-4
9-3
10-2
9-3

Will lsu fans think he is successful?

Fisher's last five years-

7-6
9-4
8-5
9-1
8-4

Define successful-

not this season, and maybe not next...but LSU will be there within 3 years. They can be scary. The west gets tougher every day.

He is recruiting very well for a transition class after the worst season in two decades. People don't realize that you don't start recruiting 23' kids in December 21 right? That shite starts Summer of 21' at the latest. Kelly's staff has been playing catchup since he got here and has done very well and will land a top 10 class. Very impressive.

Class of 24' will be top 5.

You see when you have been champions before you get to hold your coaches to the highest standards. Let us worry about our high standards, I’m sorry A&M only requires 8-4 to keep a job

Isn't a transition class considered to be between the initial hire and the December/February signing date(s)? 2023 class will be after he has coached a full season at LSU.

CBK will achieve more in his first 4yrs than jimbo has w/aggies but as good as kirby in his first 4yrs... due to LSU being in the SECW.

Of those, only 2 are DTs and only 1 CB. That's why he came to LSU (who has 8 DTs and 10 CBs in the NFL). ND can get talent but not at every position.

this idea of Notre Dame lacking talent is overplayed.

Agreed but I think this is more directed at skill positions.

I haven’t looked at the numbers, but I don’t remember ND being loaded with 4/5 star talent at WR/RB/DB/S…They've landed some top talent but they don’t have the depth at those positions like a LSU, Alabana, Uga

That’s basically a 2 year sample from a decade long run. Are those the only ones or did you not keep going after 2018?

It’s kind of a damning stat if it’s only from a 5 year period, doesn’t mean much if it’s from his entire ND stint.

They are recruiting better than LSU now so if they don’t have beeter depth yet just give it a couple more years

Don't say that. It will kill their little gotcha moment.

very well is relative, and in this case it's relative to how Alabama, Georgia, and Notre Dame are doing, and it isn't really very well. Not even counting Texas and OU because they're not here yet.

You can debate what you think his overall record will be all day. Fine.

But this take is just retarded. You literally have no clue how good LSU’s current class will end up being.
