I get what you are saying but I think you are understating our brand and exposure. We are a sleeping giant with the right coach and if you are willing to spend the money I think you can do a little better than St Louis’s coach, but hey dude might be a hidden Gem I just think we should really go all in and try and find an almost can’t miss type of young talented D1 coach. But as mentioned anything is better than what we currently have. If the boosters aren’t excited they aren’t giving money to get the players it will take to win, bring some excitement back and at least for the first year or 2 the money will be there to go do something in recruiting. Looking forward to whoever they decide to coach the team. Tired of watching this shite show.
Shertz has a D1 record of 60-38 and 0 Division 1 tournament appearances. That is what I’m talking about when I say someone who is already there and not an up and comer. I’m pretty sure you can find a coach with better division 1 accomplishments. Shertz did awesome in division 2 now that he is in division 1 he seems to have been average up until this point. I’ll give him this he has St Louis looking good so far at least, better than what we currently have. I just think we have the resources to do more than what people give us credit for. But at this point I think you could hire just about anybody and do better than what we currently are dealing with. So truthfully if we just fire MM and hire somebody else I’ll be thrilled.
Or some of us know how to make exaggerated sarcastic post and it hurt your feelings. He should have never been fired but here we are.

It’s the SEC and Will Wade showed you can get good players here and football is a prime example of the money that will be spent here. You can get a good coach to come here. There is only 30 or so schools that have at least 4 final fours in their programs history and LSU is one of them. Kentucky,Arkansas, and Florida are the only teams with more in the SEC. LSU has big potential with the right coach in the NIL era. I mean Will Wade had the potentially number one recruiting class about to come before he was fired and it was paid for out of his own checking account. LSU will spend money if the right coach is hired.

With all do respect, we best hire a big time name and be willing to duck off some money if we want to be relevant in basketball. We don’t need an up and comer we need somebody who is already there.

No I listed the reasons why Lane’s shite is real and he isn’t letting a staffer do it. It’s definitely him and not somebody else posting on his page.

A coach cannot risk somebody running their X account for them with full posting freedom. Anything this day and age can be took and twisted and before you know it, Kiffin is a racist, a homophobe, or any other thing people can drum up.

In order to make everything fair and stop the madness anything outside of the school salary would need to be separate and cannot be discussed with a player until he is signed on with a school and is already playing for them. If the player discusses NIL deals before being on campus or signing with a team then he would be in violation and suspended for a season. These kids need to be taught to be professionals. In all honesty though I don’t understand the ruling cause anyone who has a job signs on for a certain salary, I cannot use my job with the company I work for to get contracts with outside vendors and profit off of that or I’ll be fired so I really don’t understand how anyone has a leg to stand on. But for sake of the argument as long as none of this has anything to do with the player signing and all deals are discussed and put into place with actual proof of doing the work to earn the NIL money (e.g. Commercials,Jersey Signings, etc) they want to be grown professionals treat them as such. When a lot of them realize what a pain in the arse it is to do it by the books they will concentrate on football and stop worrying about extracting millions from school boosters or threatening to transfer.

The way I see it the only way to stop it is the schools agree to form their own governing body along with the NCAA. And schools set salary caps. Each year the salary increases based on performance, and certain bonuses for production which would be position based. Each year you stay with a school your salary increases, if you transfer you start over at entry level salary level. Gotta stop the constant transferring. There has to be limits set and penalties for transferring. There also cannot be any more damn teams in the playoffs this shite is a joke as it is. If you are 9-3 or 8-4 you have no damn business playing for a title so let’s not let that become the norm.

I would put Bear Bryant 1 and Saban 2 personally. Bryant made Bama into the blue blood and name that it is in college football. Saban carried on the storied history and is the best coach of the modern era. But I think for history sake without Bear Bryant there is no Saban as it would have changed the course of history if Bryant never existed. Not a Bama fan at all but I respect the history at least

They are well on their way to ruining the regular season and NIL is on its way to getting people fed up. Players are making more and more and making recruiting more of a circus everyday. Compound that with the diva mentalities and lack of effort you see from some players and their quickness to transfer and bail for a few more dollars. Recipe for people getting fed up and just watching NFL. It will eventually get to the point you don’t even have to watch the regular season because there will be 24 playoff teams. It’s all stupid and not why people have loved college football for so long.

Ole Miss and it’s not particularly close. Any other year Bama. My hatred for Texas A&M grows every day because their fans suck but I’m not going to pretend like they deserve to be a legit rival, they don’t deserve the flattery.

You are literally a fan of a school that has male yell leaders, the gayest tradition in sports. Ya’ll are too sad to even make fun of. Every year is gonna be the year though, keep believing little fella.

Pretty sure for $7 million he would play for Russia
Man I got news for yall. Whoever opens the check book more is getting this kid. You can tell by his actions he is wanting the most he can get. LSU needs him but to pretend this is about anything other than money is just lying to yourself.

19’ LSU would have beat the brakes off Indiana and everybody this year. It was such a down year talent wise across the board especially in the SEC unfortunately. Maybe NIL is spreading the talent all over, maybe the kids don’t want to play as hard anymore, idk the cause but ball ain’t the same as it was just a few years ago. There are recent Alabama defenses that would have made Mendoza and that Indiana run game look very pedestrian.
Well in this game the guy just gave a piss poor blocking effort to the point it looked like someone slipped him money. Was so awful he didn’t even attempt to do anything

10-2 makes the playoffs nobody expects undefeated seasons
Make the playoffs regularly that’s the first goal. Currently we can’t even attempt to win a title because we couldn’t even make a 12 team playoff under BK. We recruit and hit the portal every year like this year and there is no way we don’t win a title. Key to titles is QB first and we will have no issues signing signal callers. Our O Line was bad this year but there is no excuse to finish dead last in SEC in yards per game, and that’s what we accomplished this year.
