Traditionally, maybe. Today, no.
Today, Vanderbilt is not only the best baseball program in the SEC, but in the nation as well.
You forgot to mention that Florida is "fading quickly", too. Little 'ol Dallas Baptist beat your ponderosas to a bacon fry this year.

So perhaps you can say historically Georgia is better but recently Arkansas is the better program. Just look at fan support, recent trips to the CWS and facilities. The better argument right now is Arkansas vs MSU. On a side note I already hate that baseball season is over

Based on who I see as a challenger to winning the SEC/CWS in the near future.
1. Vanderbilt
2. Arkansas
3. Miss State
4. Florida
5. Georgia
6. Ole Miss
7. A&M
8. South Carolina
9. Alabama
10. Auburn
11. Tennessee
12. Kentucky
13. Missouri
South Carolina is the hardest to place. Alabama too.

We’ve been to the last two SEC championships and have won one of them, have been second in the nation in attendence for decades, and make the tournament more consistently than most of the teams above us on this list. This list is horrible

Georgia has won 3 compared to Arkansas' 2 since Arkansas joined back in '92.

How are we weighing historically vs present day? Not sure how Vandy could be behind South Carolina either way. I’d also move Ole Miss ahead of A&M and UGA.

LSU is obviously #1. It depends on how much you value titles after that though. Should Vandy be ahead of us now even though we have 8 more CWS appearances and 12 more SEC titles? No one in their right mind (s) would have Mizzou ahead of Arkansas and MSU.

Florida was extremely young this year but they will be fine going forward. They are not fading because they had an early postseason exit. Vandy, LSU, etc have done that plenty and rebounded.

Vanderbilt will take a step back next year just like Florida did this year with the talent that is bound for the MLB. Speaking of forgetting, Florida was actually even more dominant last year than Vandy was this year in the regular season. In 2019 we had 3 new starting pitchers and a new closer, along with 6 new starting position players. Only the left and right fielders were returning starters. The entire infield was new.

Then maybe next year, they can be ranked lower than #1. Right now, they are the best program in the SEC and the nation.
