Except the part where Mizzou took 2 outta 3 from them this year, but nowhere near.

You are wrong. While Mizzou does have a CWS win it was long go and far away in another era and conference. Granted UK has not been to a CWS they have better baseball than Alabama. Everybody knows Alabama is a softball first school.

Alabama's baseball history, and by history I mean from 1996-2019, dwarfs Kentucky.

- Kentucky has been to 7 NCAA Tournaments and 0 CWS

- Alabama had been to 23 NCAA Tournaments and 5 CWS

And yes, we are also good at softball.

I swear this board is made up on 11 year olds.

While Saban may be a dwarf, he is a football coach not a baseball coach

Seriously dude, we've been playing for national championships in Omaha since 1975. We've been down forn a couple of seasons before. We're not fading anywhere anytime soon.

There are stats and historical records that prove you wrong.

Local youth teams around the country dwarf Kentucky's college baseball history.

If only the teams all competed for an entire so we could literally see how they compare competitively...

UK has been to 0 CWS and UAT has been to 5 CWS. This is correct but may not foretell an accurate future.

Alabama CWS in 1950, 1983, 1986, 1907, and 1999 (all in the last century)

However in the past decade UK has committed to both softball and baseball with new state of the art parks for both sports. Seeing their progress in just the past few years tells me it is no longer a question of if they will be CWS and WCWS bound but when. The ladies have already gotten there but have not won. The men will be there before the new facility is a decade old. I may not live to see it, but it is coming.

Ok, cool. Alabama also has a new baseball stadium. Alabama has been to 11 NCAAT since 2000 alone.

Alabama had been to 7 NCAAT since 2006 (and we've mostly been bad by our standards). Kentucky has been to 7 all-time.

Also, yes, Alabama is also a top 5 national softball program.

Good for Kentucky, I hope they do well, but they are behind Alabama. It's not really a debate.

A bit disingenuous as youth talent has been successful on the national level I think last years semi or finals was that team from Bowling Green KY for the little league World Series. Pretty sure that youth baseball complex in Etown was like 30 million when built and is considered on of the top in the USA.

While I agree they are behind Alabama at the national level in softball not sure I agree on baseball.

As for softball this regular season, head to head...
UK won 4-1 in game 1
Tide won 3-1 in game 2
UK won 3-2 in game 3

So not like the Cats can't beat the Tide now and again

How? In what metric is Kentucky ahead of Alabama in baseball? Seriously Grits, what are you talking about?

How'd Mizzou do in the tournament?

Title, title, title... I don't care how old the title is, it trumps great records without a title. Rank the programs of teams with a title, and then those that don't to reach a ranking.

Think FSU fans would trade their 23 CWS appearances and consecutive 40-win season streak for just 1 ring? Of course they would.

1 ring from the 1050's, and their program would not have ever been to the CWS during the Mike Martin era? No fricking way they would trade that.
