That is pretty cool only if you are able to control the littering. UA doesn't really do mark that as a tailgate spot, which I'm happy they don't. Let them rest in somewhat peace except when we score touchdowns.

I should be clear that it’s only open to tailgating by the football lettermen. Have to buy a pass to park there, too, so they have a very good idea of who attends and all are quite respectful of the space. Should also not that Vince Dooley is now buried in that cemetery.

Yeah - the hill/slope at UGA was not really that bad, and I didn't intend for that to be a major negative. Like I said, all of the SEC campuses I have been to are really nice. I'm sure once you are used to it it is hardly noticeable. The hill and elevation change does add to the scenic aspect of it.

For comparison, it is nowhere near as hilly as the kU campus (kansas for me is the gold standard for campuses that suck). There it seems no matter which way you are going it is always straight up a hill. One of several reasons my daughter hated that place (made it one of the best campus visits we took her on!).

I'm biased, but I did tour almost every SEC school in HS. For me it was:

1. LSU
2. UGA
3. Auburn
4. South Carolina
5. Bama
6. Ole Miss
7. Florida
8. Mizzou

9. Vandy
10. Texas
11. Miss St.
12. Tennessee
13. Kentucky

Haven't been to Ark, A&M or OU yet, but from photos I've seen only Arkansas would be up near the top. You could truly make an argument for any of the top 8, it's really just a preference. I loved LSU's live oaks, arches and the lake at the end of the day.

Best outside of the SEC I've been to: Sewanee, Rollins, Berry, UVA, Duke, IU

I’ve ran many times around lake Alice. It’s beautiful. It’s also one small part on a pretty concrete heavy campus.

In Kansas? I'm not doubting you, just surprised.

I know right. One of the flattest states in the nation and they build their campus on one of the few hilly places they have.

After seeing the crime stats thread, State's lapped the field.

I’ve only been to Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt.

All have positives.

Now, how many on here have actually been INSIDE an SEC school classroom as a student? (Crickets to follow)

Watch out for the alligators on Lake Alice. I did not and looked over and my daughter of less than 4 was walking up on one. We were very lucky the alligator must have already eaten. This is a true story.

Hard to rank 16 schools, but Oklahoma is beautiful and different, looks ivy league. Below is the library, but many buildings match it. So it is #1 for me.
I think TAMU is the worse, non-descript buildings. MSU is also toward the bottom.

She’s going to love it. Auburn is taking a ton of Texas kids

Wish they were still in Texas, but sons a petro engineer in Louisiana now 500 miles from here. Her grad class at all girl private school has a bunch to LSU, 8 to Auburn, 3 to Alabama, 1 to OU among her friends we met at graduation.

South Carolina has a beautiful campus but you probably don't want to leave it after dark
