I remember the sec cg in 2006 and am aware of past success as well.

That said, the gators have also been floundering for 15+ and we were once a good football school too

Name 1 good football coach besides Spurrier.

I remember those Houston Nutt days and I didn't even think it was that bad considering the difficult recruiting battles. Even Bret Bielema and Sam Pittman weren't so bad. But hey I don't follow your university enough to understand all the frustrations.

No idea about your NIL and booster support. I know who does NOT support your program which is so sad. Maybe new leadership can bring in private equity at this point. Better than nothing which apparently is what it sounds like.

Silverfield looks bad loosing, he looks bad winning.

When he was at Memphis he coached not to lose. I cant tell you how many double digit leads were lost under him. We stopped going to games after year 3 because it was just bad football to watch. If yall keep him around the offense will not get better, the oline will not get better, you will not blow out lesser competition and he will lose games he should not lose

Close your eyes and this could be any of the 3 last AR coaches

Impossible to tell despite what Arkansas fans will tell you. The roster is lacking talent in way too many places. Silverfield has the same problem Pittman had, which is a lack of resources backing him. Hard to make chicken salad out of chicken shite.

If you're mad at Silverfield, you should have just kept Pittman for another year and not entered that psycho coaching carousel.

I don’t think so. For several years, Arkansas just came out on the losing end of mostly competitive games. This year is different.

He's atrocious. About to go 2-10 and 0-for in the SEC. That will be the 4th time in last 8-9 yrs

There is something beyond your coach that you might be missing....

You are right. This season has some ugly losses in store for AR.

Location? Getting squeezed out of top recruits to schools from all of the States that boarder Arkansas. OK St, Tennessee, Vandy, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and other schools from Texas, Missouri, ole Miss, and Miss St.

You were a very average program and every once in awhile you would be good. But to your point…it has been several generations since you have had a stretch (minus a couple of years) where you have been as bad as the last 15 years. Just know…you were never Alabama…or Tennessee…or Georgia…or Auburn….you were Ole Miss, Missouri, Iowa, and Colorado.

Not really.

Arkansas has a $1.5 million dollar quarterback that is bad at his position.

A defensive end who makes over a million and he hasn't done anything this year.

The best player on offense is a WR that has had a troubled past.

The best player on defense is a undersized linebacker.

This is back-up QB money though.

Remember when we used to give coaches half a decade? I haven't followed Silverfield that closely, but how do you know he can't turn the program around with a few seasons of implementing his system and players?

I get what you are saying, but that was before transfer portal and NIL.

Arkansas is suffering from a lack of investment in both. The boosters aren’t throwing as much money at the program, because the school has ignored their requests for the most part.

The boosters are the ones paying for the coach and funding the NIL. You can’t afford to lose their interest or cause them to have animosity toward the program.

The fans not showing up will further deteriorate the profit share and funding.

Arkansas is in a dark place. They need a strong AD and should go pay top dollar for one.

The good thing about the best players from terrible teams not sticking around is you have the opportunity to upgrade.

He took over a 2-10 team and made them worse. Yes he's that bad.

Isn't this the coaches 1st year?
It's Will Stein's first year too. This isn't 2012. Coaches don't need 4 years to "get their guys in" in the era of 80 players going in and out of the door in one offseason. When you take over a 2-10 team and the first step you take is backwards, you're not a good coach.
