Giving Silverfield time is a huge mistake. He is lost and getting worse.

Auburn sucks.
Auburn fan: War Eagle anyway. Hey, got get my season tickets, gotta support the team no matter what, I'll be there.
Auburn sucks again with new staff.
Auburn fan: War Eagle anyway. We'll get better. We just need an OL.
Auburn sucks worse than in its entire football history. AD raises ticket prices.
Auburn fan: War Eagle anyway. We have to be there and support our team!
Same applies to Arkansas I'm sure. Why would anyone in charge give a shite? I admire the Arky folks for trying to get some change.

He managed the decline of Memphis, accomplishing that doesn't mean he will manage the elevation of Arkansas as a program.
Hunter did Memphis a favor in hiring a coach they wanted rid of. He tried to do the same favor for Clemson but was not able to secure the funding for Dabo.
Hunter has done many favors for other programs while doing his best to work against Arkansas in the process.

I 100% support yall getting rid of your ad, but if you burn it all down you’ll have nothing but scorched earth. It’ll be like giving yourself the death penalty. I’d want to get a good ad then see what the coaches can accomplish with support then if they still suck run them off.

His Memphis tenure is exhibit A of how bad he is in SEC.
He took the team with huge $ advantage, recruiting advantage in the American Conference and made them mediocre.
As far as HY, he is trash

Silverfield isn't directly involved in this and has been distancing himself from Hunter after the ON3 article.
He is why we know all the money Hunter was bragging about him raising wasn't available to him to use, "budget was set".
It doesn't help that Hunter is one of the highest paid ADs in the country while he runs his mouth to anyone who will listen that Arkansas "doesn't have money".
He's flat out lied to the big money to the point they stopped being there. The have been only contributing directly to Cal and and DVH. When Hunter gets involved the funding is reduced and pulled back.
The NIL collectives have been giant rug pulls and advertised as for football and used equally for the Olympic sports.

Totally understand we’ve had our share of worthless ad’s. Couldn’t have been happier when atm “stole” Bjork from us that dude is trash.

Will never understand why they ran off Houston Nutt. Frank Broyles wasn’t well in his later years.

Because of his mouth.

Why fire Silverfield
It's really not his fault per se. But he was a supremely low effort hire by an AD who had clearly given up.
What we can blame him for is the fact that our team has not been prepared a single time in five games. We managed to barely out talent our first cupcake and benefited from injuries to the starting QB for Tulsa.
The harsh reality for RS is that he did worse at Memphis than his predecessors (who also all failed) and his was a Memphis program that didn't even have to deal with UCF every year. Inexcusable hire.
