Former "gutter punk" here and you generally grow out of dressing like that around the time you have to get a real job. You may continue on in your personal time for a while and get in to "uniform" to go to shows or parties or something but eventually it gets to be too much of a hassle. I still go to punk and hardcore shows and interact with the community but generally just show up in what i wore to work that day. Its funny because i used to see the old guys at shows and chuckle but now thats me.

Pat Schneeweis (Pat the Bunny, Johnny Hobo and the freight trains, wingnut dishwasher union, ramshackle glory) was a very highly regarded artist in the folk punk community years back. There is almost a cult like following surrounding him, so much so that it made him extremely uncomfortable and led to him retiring and disappearing from music all together. Really fascinating dude and story. Any way, this new band isnt a punk band but if you are in to folk or diy punk then more than likely youve heard of pat the bunny
Any folk punk fans in here?
