Back in my biggest stage of being an alcoholic my liquor store absolutely knew me and what i was all about. I was in there twice a week buying a handle of Evan Williams 100proof

Honestly, kind of but its really started to get dependent on the product put on the field. My Dad and i started getting season tickets to Memphis football in the early 2000's (DeAngelo Williams years) and finally stopped a couple of years ago. In my younger days i could sit through some of the worst football imaginable but now im at the point of where im not going to waste my entire Saturday to watch a sub par product (sorry Arky fans but get ready for some of the most boring football youve ever seen). Plus, now ive got younger kids that want to do everything at the stadium except watch the game so its also a money pit and im lucky if i get to watch all 4 quarters. We might do a game or two a year and im interested to see what Huff will do so we'll catch at least one this year (sans kids)

re: Ex teaching daughter to call the step-dad “dad”. Thoughts?

Damn man, that sucks. However, i think there is more to this story that either OP is telling us or doesnt know themselves. My ex and i absolutely hate each other, like wouldnt piss on the other if they were on fire type of hate, and neither of us would do something like that. Honestly, there are two scenarios here; a) that aint your kid and mom is trying to clean up on the back end or b) the other guy is doing all of the heavy lifting and you have been demoted in the moms eyes from dad to bio father.
If (a) is even a possibility then get a paternity test and walk away, if its (b) then either sack up and get more involved or watch another man raise your kid and call them dad. This really does sound like a you problem though

I think this has a lot more to do with it. Also, and maybe this just has more to do with my area, but ive noticed a lot more black kids at concerts than i have in the past. Took my son to see Treaty Oak a few months back and honestly, i was shocked by the number of young blacks kids there. Also went to a hardcore show at a little dive bar a few weeks ago and like a third of the crowd was black. Was interesting seeing this little black girl get rowdy in the pit.

The real conspiracy would be a national lettuce shortage->fabricating this parasite to explain the shortage/limit consumption & hoarding
The one im seeing the most is that now that people are more aware of the slop in every day grocery store products and moving to healthier alternatives and since the powers that be cant have that they have faked this bacteria outbreak. Its not just lettuce but berries and other leafy greens as well that have been recommended you stay away from

I lived in Memphis for like 20 years and used to defend it to death. Then i moved out to the suburbs like 2 years ago and it only took like a week before i absolutely despised everything about that city

Probably an Imprezza which is their low end model car/hatchback. Solid car but its pretty much a go-kart. Love Subarus but would recommend a Cross Trek or better

Not going to read all of that but he also wrote Eaters of the Dead which is the book the 13th Warrior is based on which is an awesome movie. Just stupid and fun
Actually have been dealing with something like this over the past week. Ive posted on here before about me and my kids relationship with my ex but long story short i raise the kids ,13yo boy and a 4yo girl, myself with very limited interaction with their mom.
Well, the other day, i was accused of not properly raising my son to respect women because.....my son and daughter constantly bicker and fight. I tried explaining that their fighting is more than likely due more to being raised in a single parent household and are constantly trying to battle for attention with my daughter winning out most of the time because shes 4 (*note i also spoil my daughter but thats something ive been working on). The moment that i mentioned that my daughter actually instigates more than half of their fights i was immediately shut down and told i was a misogynist and was raising my son to be the same way.
I talked to my son about all of this only to find out that theres a whole deeper level to all of this and apparently im being used as a scape goat. Turns out their mom is constantly saying negative stuff about men when the kids are around (shouldnt have rights, should die etc) and whenever my son tries to stand up for his gender he is told that he is wrong. Luckily, the boy is very hard headed and just doesnt let stuff go. Mind you, dear reader, that this is a woman who does not help out with her kids in any way what so ever, sees them whenever is conveinent for her and even then makes no effort to actually get the kids as i have to drop them off and pick them up 30 minutes away.
All of that said, my 13yo sees the way his mother acts and luckily he has a good enough head on his shoulders as well as a second parent to realize that this is insane.
