For the most part, any of these schools can get you what you need to be successful.
The odd thing to me is how many degree programs there are now that really don’t lead directly to a higher paying job. Gender studies, race studies, queer studies, etc. These “academic” programs are essentially brainwashing 101.
The “scholarship” in these areas is a joke.
It is strange to me for colleges to offer 100 or more different bachelor’s degrees. Is it really necessary to have that many different disciplines? Many schools have 10 different marketing degrees. Many offer multiple different management degrees. Do management techniques really differ so greatly in sports, recreation, business, public administration, etc?
The schools like it because if you change majors, there are different requirements not met by very similar classes. Many Kids are taking longer to graduate. I had a talk with a professor at AU and he said the faculty is working on plans to try to get the students to graduate before starting year 6. He said the students really enjoy all the amenities of college and many of the kids who are not getting degrees in 4 or 5 years have good academic records, but they don’t finish a degree.

You should've stopped with the list. Your analysis is horseshite. That's not how higher education works

Don't upset too much with him. Right now Auburn has nothing. They don't have football, so they became a basketball school. Now they are 7th in the SEC in basketball.
They are just striking out at everybody right now.

It's an average public school. Not difficult to get in.
This isnt even close to accurate. It was a lot different maybe 20-25 years ago, but UGA is a very very competitive institution now due to Hope.
Average SAT was 1400 and 30 ACT. 20-25 years ago it was probably more like 1150/25 or so.

I thought Texas only had one flagship, that's weird.

You might have made the dumbest post of the year.
Truly, every single troll post made by any Rantard since the championship game has greater foundation in fact than your snippet of utter jealousy towards the institutions you listed.
I can't even imagine how shallow and miserable your life must be.
Thankfully, I'll never know.

It's getting very difficult to get into UGA these days. 4.0 GPA students are being turned away.
Thanks mostly to the Hope Scholarship. Or as conservatives morons like the OP claim (without evidence) the "watering down" of diplomas.

These threads are as cute as Ivy League message board arguments about football.

I think Bama was around 20-22k around 2000. I may be wrong but I thought they were right around AU's numbers back then. The entire town/campus does not look anything like it did 20 years ago.

Remember, however, quality over quantity.
So by your logic, Ole Miss and Mississippi State are more prestigious institutions than Auburn?

Alabama was about 25k prior to Saban’s arrival.

For those who don’t know, the SAT test was “re-skewed” in the early ‘90s. Test scores taken prior to reskewing should have 120 to 160 (can’t recall exact amount) points added to be equivalent to today’s scores.
