Clemson hired Dabo Sweeny, also a Position Coach.

There will be no cluster at LSU with Dave Aranda and Matt Canada as Coordinators.

CEO will be the CEO and let his Coordinators coach, unlike Miles.

Did you not see how Orgeron turned that team around overnight as soon as Miles was canned.

We just need a little Offense and Canada will bring that...............

I disagree. Get the right OL bulldozers and a decent read option QB coupled with a good defense and it will always beat the HUNO wide spread fun & gun teams.

I wouldn't go that far but offenses utilizing dual-threat QB's effectively definitely have an advantage over pro-style offenses in college football. Exhibit A is both Deshaun Watson and Jalen Hurts making a huge difference as RB options in their respective offenses. In fact, all the playoff teams had athletic type QB's.

If Alabama had stuck with the pro style and had left Blake Barnett in at QB, Bama would have won the national title.

Of a treasure chest full of dumb things I have read on tRant this might take the cake. CFB has been played since 1869, but somehow teams have figured out how to stop a ball control offense which works in play actions passing in 2017...If Hurts could pass they'd be National Champs...If Bo didn't get hurt they'd likely be National Champs...If the Oline had been more dominate they'd likely be National Champs. It is much easier to scheme to stop a spread attack than a true "Pro Style" O that has the parts to run it affectively.

Wow u must be drunk still because LSU looked like the New England patriots compared to Kirbys bulldogs. U feel optimistic about that?? I think most LSU fans respect the job CEO has done so far. At least CEO doesn't look like a flustered pouty child freaking out on the sideline for 60 minutes. Y'all BETTER be recruiting lights out playing that way.

Yeah but a different system would have allowed Alabama to mask those deficiencies

Spare me the Lamar Jackson crap. Watson is better than Jackson an should have won the Heisman.

Pride of Georgia must be a Tech fan. Only Tech fans make statements like a pro-style offense won't ever win another national title or Vince Young was the best player ever. Are you high?

Who led LSU to a better record than Georgia despite playing in a tougher division, inheriting two losses and starting in week 5 while Kirby had an entire offseason to prepare and started the season with a clean slate.

Nope. Instead he sounds like a retard with a speech impediment.

The view LSU fans had of their team all season was one of the great things on this board. After every loss, they claimed to be as good as anyone in the playoff conversation.

3 and outs on offense will not win a championship.

Bama was one or two third down conversions or 10 More carries in bounds from winning in spite of the offense.

The simple fact is Clemson won because Deshaun Watson is the best, most dynamic QB in college football

This^
Sometimes, you just have to tip your cap to the other team. Bama is as good or better than Clemson at every position except QB, which is the most important position on the field. Hurts had a solid freshman year but obviously has room for improvement in the passing game. He may be on Watson's level when he's a junior but at the moment there's no comparison between the two. Deshaun Watson is the first, second, and third reasons why Clemson won and Bama lost. He's a special player.

No doubt a pretty stupid statement BUT I have to say pro
style offenses seem to be used less and less only because read option and air raid offenses are less complicated and much easier to teach.CFB coaches are
limited not only with practice hours but with how long players stick around.

Who would that be? Lee's stat line against Alabama in his career was 24-58, 316 yards, 1 TD, and 7 INTs.

You forgot the three pick sixes in one game.
