I forgot something. They beat a great dual threat QB last year with a decent at best pro-style QB.

Vince Young is the best college football player to step on the field

Bert has 10 SEC wins after four years.
Curley Hallman (the worst coach in LSU history) had 10 SEC wins after four years.

Curley got fired.
Bert is sitting on 15 million dollar buyout.

The simple fact is Clemson won because Deshaun Watson is the best, most dynamic QB in college football in probably 20 years, yes better than Vince Young.

Let's not get carried away. He's great, but Cam Newton was better in just the last few years.

The fan of a team with a coach who is maybe the fastest to 20 conference losses and the slowest to 10 wins might want to be quiet when the Titans (the fans of teams who have actually won the conference) are debating.

Thanks man.

That's shitty logic.

So my accurate point about it being difficult to judge a coach's trajectory after his first season doesn't matter because I'm an Arkansas fan. Apparently being white trash from Louisiana means you're a more knowledgeable football fan if you support the Tigahs. Welp, they don't call them rantards for nothing.

Oh, and LSU is one of the few teams in the SEC that fat, shitty Bert has actually beaten multiple times. Embarrassing.

Now you're catching on.

The white trash fans from LA. would never support a fat frick who lost 20 SEC games and only won 10 in four years.

So yes, even that segment of our fanbase knows more about football than your fat inbred hillbillies.

Hope you enjoyed the 2 win streak...LULZ.
Coach O took a demoralized team into the hills of northwest rKansas and beat Bert like a redheaded stepchild 38-10.

Nick Saban went to Kent State. The only program in the MAC that is historically worse at football than Kent State is Eastern Michigan. I bet he doesn't have the first damn clue about the sport.

pro style will dominate now that every body runs some kind of spread every body knows how to attack it ,basing a huge change like this on a game is silly ,how many losing spread teams are out there ,most of them is the answer !

Pro Style Offense Won't Win Anymore Championships by Pride of GeorgiaEvidenced by the recent game,

the last game showed us a QB that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. fine'

It has been figured out at the college level.

bull shite. I have seen spread teams get their asses kicked a lot worse than bama did. bama lost that game on defense, not their offense.

This is why Alabama has gone with a true freshman QB with questionable throwing.

you don't know why Hurst won that job. and his throwing at teams was a lot worse than questionable.

you're entire premise stinks. the QUALITY of player is a LOT more important than the scheme. the pro style offense is the way to win the NC; that is if you have the players to execute it, esp a QB that can pass.

Agree. That's my point. Alabama is the Standard, and they are abandoning the pro style. Other teams trying to emulate Bama will not make it to the playoffs. LSU blew their shot when Herman said no

Some of you guys believe Saban is a Gawd and his players are Semi-Gawds, but that's not correct as they put their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us. LSU held them to 10 points this past season and, of course, they shut out LSU. However, it wasn't because LSU plays a pro style offense, but instead because LSU still played Les Miles' pro style offense, which for years was the most predictable and easiest offense in the SEC to prepare for. It was easy for Alabama to shut out LSU, because they always new what was coming every time before LSU snapped the ball. That poor excuse for an offense has finally seen its final day now that the season is over and a new day is coming to LSU. There won't be anymore cake walks or long droughts for Alabama against LSU. Those days are finally over.

Meanwhile, Clemson didn't win because they run a spread offense, they won because they wore Alabama's defense down. As in the second half, Clemson's defense held Alabama to 7 straight three and outs in a row that averaged about a minute a piece, and did not give Alabama's defense anytime to rest. Then late in the fourth quarter once Alabama's defense was spent, Clemson was able to rally and pull out the victory. Even though Alabama scored a lucky touchdown on them.

Who is Hurst and and a pro style barely wins the NC game look it up. If LSU had a spread attack in 2011 they would have won it all

Watson has been a great College QB but people are really overlooking the fact that Clemson also developed a very good team overall. Like many championship teams, it's a matter of having good to great players across the board. You can't win a championship with only one regardless of how ridiculous that player is. Football just doesn't allow for one player to dictate everything.
