I think that Auburn will try to go after his ailing knee and will do enough to make it worth it for Saban to sit him in the SECCG.

Bama still likely wins the SEC, but even if they don’t, they will still be in the playoff, with hopefully a well rested Tua for the championship run.

I do think Tua misses the next game to rest the knee, and might even miss the next one to be ready for the SECCG.

He stayed out of the State game due to a tightened quad muscle...you don't ride a stationary bike if you have knee problems.

He was cutting and moving well in the LSU and MSU games.

There is no way Bama will make it into the playoffs this season without winning the SEC Championship. Notre Dame and Clemson will win out and grab those two spots. The winner of Ohio St - Michigan will be a one loss Big Ten Champion and grab a third spot. The winner of Bama - UGA grabs the last available spot.

You may be right. He is such a gifted athlete that I enjoy watching him play. It’s painful when he is playing against your team but you can’t help but appreciate the quality of the athlete on the playing field. Cam Newton and Tim Tebow were the same way. I hope he recovers soon

There is no reason to play Tua next week, Alabama should run all over them.

And if that doesn’t do it, might even have to go Raekwon if they really mean business.

Tua will play at least a couple quarters against the citadel and probably a couple against auburn. I don't see Aubs being able to pass rush as well as MSU.

Nah. Auburn doesn't cheap shot players. Bama may put Stidham out though. They have a record of trying to hurt players. Especially QBs. Just ask Texas, FSU, and UGA.

Well, they do play dirty... kinda sad for UGA to be hoping that they do though.

I want Tua at 100% for the SEC Championship Game...don't want to hear any excuses if we happen to pull off the upset.

Do you not remember Nick Fairley?

As many players as that dude tried to end their career it’s just that much funnier he’s a walking heart attack waiting to happen.

I wish it was like the 80's where it was understood the other team wants to take out your qb and that is just football, and there was no need to really talk about it because everybody just knew. Now we have to pretend thatr teams don't want to hurt the others qb even though they really do.

You were watching a different game than I was. Tua looked like shite for much of the second half.

Remember Quinton Dial? I bet Aaron Murray does. That's one of the dirtiest hit I've ever seen. It's one thing to hit a qb right after a throw and hitting them after the play just to hit them. There's a difference in just having a reputation created about you and you actually trying to hurt someone.

Bama has a record of actually hurting players and trying. Remember Mekhi Brown either? Another product of Saban's ways.

Sit out The Citadel game, play the next two weeks, and then have him get arthroscopic knee surgery after the SEC Championship Game. Arthroscopic knee surgeries usually have a four week recovery time so he should be able to recover by the CFB Playoff semifinal game.
