I’ve been watching LSU football for many decades. Take away the correct coaching situation, the quality of both teams, and the media drama. The vast majority of time when these two teams meet, the score is always within a touchdown. They will both play to the highest of their ability. I expected to be a close game.

You are dead on the money. It all began when they joined the SEC. That placed them at a recruiting disadvantage. The addition of Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri was a death blow. They all have more money and better programs than Arkansas. Combine that with one of the worst high school football situations in the south, and you have a recipe for disaster. No one wants to take the coaching job, so it is a constant carousel of subpar candidates. Couple that with inadequate football facilities that would probably take at least $500 million to correct, and no NIL money of significance, and you can’t pull out of the rut you’ve placed yourself in. No matter who you choose as AD or coach, with no high school football feeder and inadequate funds, you have what you are now witnessing. If you do manage to land, the occasional good player, all of the neighboring schools are watching you carefully, and will poach that player for a fee. Most players will jump at the chance to get away from an under performing program. It’s not as bad as it’s gonna get. Just stay tuned.

Best idea I have seen in a while. Kudos. They are all working for the same government. They need to be crossed trained so they can keep busy. If they don’t want to do that, fire them.

Yes, the litigation will be off the charts. And it will be in Louisiana courtrooms. And the SEC, as well as the member institutions, will foot the bill. There will be no winner. Cooler heads will hopefully prevail.. If they do not, the SEC will regret this move for a long time.
This is a pretty accurate analysis. I could go on and on about their issues, but there’s just no sense in it. The results will speak for themselves in the following weeks

All for it and I support the ranchers. It’s not mutually exclusive. They need to get to work and provide more beef as quickly as feasible. Do not let anyone fool you regarding Argentina beef. It’s some of the finest in the world. I have visited several times, and it is grass fed and fabulous.

This is the crux of the issue. Accountability is everything in life. If there are no consequences, there is no progress. It is as simple as that. When they fail, the welfare system kicks in. This will never improve until people suffer the consequences of their actions and decisions. I hate it for the children.
One of my favorite bars. A lot of nostalgia in that place.
