Without Burrow, I had us at 7-5 with O on the way out. Now I guess it will depend on how good JB can be.

Don't get me wrong, as long as MSU loses to LSU I want them to win the rest.

Don’t be so quick to judge, I predict MSU to go 6-6 because you suck and you lost a once in a lifetime coach to a brand new HC.

Obligatory 37-7.

How did that once in a lifetime coach help against Louisville in the Gator bowl? Where we had a second string QB and basically a volunteer coaching staff against Petrino and Lamar Jackson?

Hey Florida fans? How is MSU’s greatest and bestest coach evar doing on the recruiting trail? You know... since he is a miracle worker who MSU will not survive without.

MSU was the softest team AU played the last two years, I do not see things changing in one year.

Ceiling is 10-2 and possible NY6 Bowl. Floor is 7-5 or possibly 6-6 if coaching staff sucks or major injuries. I say 9-3 with a trip to the Citrus Bowl.

I bet you if LSU handles Miami in the opener that % number drops to 25%.

He seems to be doing fine, I have no complaints, lot harder worker than i was told he would be in recruiting.

Beating the former Heisman trophy winner in a bowl game is ending the season “shittily”? I would have thought losing your bowl game would be worse but that logic must not be true in Lsu fantasy land.

Bowl games are glorified exhibitions.

The second half of yalls season was much worse than ours. And y'all lost State's GOAT coach. And yalls QBs leg was hanging on by a string last time I saw him.

No Mullen = 10-2.

Mullen did a lot of great things for State, but his offense, play calling, and in game coaching decisions will always hold him back.

Moorhead's teams will be fun to watch. He believes in attacking, and he's not afraid to open things up against better teams. He will get the most out of these players.

Remains to be seen if he can recruit and keep the program on the upswing, but this season will be very special.

LOL at the people predicting losses to KSU, UK, UF and TAMU. MSU is much more talented than those teams.

My possible losses are BAMA, AU, LSU and UMiss. We won't lose all of those.

Well.. congrats I guess. I guess you have accepted the fact that AL, GA, Fl State, and Miami are merely going to allow Florida to have their 2nd choices.

What held Mullen back was lack of talent at certain positions every year. He was very good a maximizing the teams potential by minimizing risk. When he tried to open things up against good teams, he would get blown out. He stayed close to a lot of good teams by letting them make mistakes. I do not think MSU fans realize what they lost when he went to UF.

Looks like 9-3 to me, but that's pretty optimistic. Florida and TAMU games could certainly go the other way, but having them in Stark Vegas should help.

The real wildcard is the KSU game. They had a good team and played us really tough in '14. A stern test for a program that hasn't beaten a P5 team on the road since Baylor in 1995.

I do not think you know what you are talking about. Please list a game in which Mullen tried to open things up and then hot blown out.

His offense was limited, and his play calling was predictable. It is hard to list any real upsets in Mullen's 9 years, except maybe the Egg Bowl in his very first year.

As said on this board before, Jackie Sherrill's first 9 years were better than Mullen's 9 years, so I don't know where this idea comes from that Mullen is so special.

Mullen had 1 winning record in the SEC. he went 6-2 in 2014, and he had 4 4-4 seasons. He finished below .500 in SEC play.

Sherrill had 3 winning seasons in the SEC, and even won the West. His first 9 seasons he was right at .500 in SEC play. Yes, the West was easier back then, but my point is that Mullen is not some rare, irreplaceable gem.

That's the only thing that kept State in games.
