Sept. 1 Stephen F. Austin W
Sept. 8 at Kansas State W
Sept. 15 Louisiana-Lafayette W
Sept. 22 at Kentucky W
Sept. 29 Florida TOSSUP
Oct. 6 Auburn L
Oct. 20 at LSU L

Probably 8-4

Bjt I can see Mullen beating them since he is intimately familiar with the team, so maybe 7-5

Plus most of Miss States damage was done on the ground last year. They ran the ball like 65% of the time, and relied heavily on Fitzgerald running. He is average passing the ball in my opinion, but had no receivers to help him. They had a ridiculous number of drops in the Auburn game last year. I don't know if that will change this year. The formula to beat them was pretty simple; contain Fitzgerald from running and make him pass.

This is flawed. They didn't have to pass. It's not that they can't. 2 different things.

They truth is they return 9 on that offense and add 4 Wrs.

Defense should be solid, but it will really depend on how easy the transition is for the current players from Grantham to Shoop. Sometimes there is a big learning curve when switching DC's and certain guys just don't mesh as well in a different scheme.

Grantham took them from 110th to #10 in one year. Shoop is a proven guy. I see no issues. The have a legit 3 deep on the DL.

Even if everything does go smoothly for Moorehead in his first year, it is going to be tough for MSU to consistently compete with LSU, Auburn, and Alabama.

Get real.... They beat LSU
They took us to the wire.

This isn't your grandfather's SEC anymore.

7-5

Breaking in a new coach is tough and their QB is overrated.

I’m convinced that half the people on here pay zero attention to the rest of the SEC and pick wins and losses much like a girl who picks based on uniforms.

Loss to KY? Really? MSU throttled KY 45-7 last year and they had a serviceable QB in Stephen Johnson. Pop quiz... who is the starter at QB for KY football as of today?

MSU scored with 17 seconds last year to win that game

1. It was at Arkansas.
2. MSU players spent the entire week worrying about Mullen and fielding questions about it.
3. They were flat and uninspired all game, which they also carried into the egg bowl.
4. The weather was miserable.
5. It was the week after their heartbreaking loss to Alabama.

Last year's Arkansas and Ole Miss games were thanks to Mullen shopping and being disinterested and the players sensing something was up.

We beat you by 5 touchdowns last year you silly frick.

And we upgraded coaches for this year.

Looks like we’ll win by 70 this year.

10-2
Lose to Bama and Florida
2nd in the West
New Years Day Bowl

They are set for a very good season. Mullen left them in good shape. Losing to Mullen will be their only sour point in the season.

I don’t believe they have named one, but barker has the most playing time.

Don’t be so quick to judge, I predict MSU to go 6-6 because you suck and you lost a once in a lifetime coach to a brand new HC.

9-3 is very possible if no significant injuries. State fans predicting 11-1 are out there. 8-4 is also a very real possibility. So much depends on Fitz and our receivers having consistency every week. We will be using our Rb's more in the passing game. CJM will also be playing our best players at all times, which will be a welcome change from Mullen.
