Lebby makes some absolutely retarded calls too. He bones State in field position and he runs at an even faster pace than Charlie

A kneel down vs OM in Oxford.

You know, I have a chlld at Ole Miss, and we have a prime spot in the Grove. And we enjoy the fall there.
But dude.... you need to let it go.
Worry about your team baw.
And I am an Aggie. I got no dog in the hunt.

Pretty much every coach is going for it on 4th down from the 1 and 3, so I'm not getting too worked up about that.
That’s the thing, lane was absolutely ahead of the curve when he started going on 4th down. But now that defenses know it is coming I’m not sure it is as much of an edge now. Especially when his 4th down play calling is nothing special (except against LSU last year to ice the game

Let it go my man. It will get settled on the field.

I’m going with midway through the 1st quarter against Clemson on a 4th and 3 in plus territory.
Leavitt airmails a bootleg out route, and an LSU fan somewhere breaks their TV
Typical Ole Miss fan in 2026

Ole Miss converted like 71% of their 4th downs last year, I'll take that all day.
What a lot of people don't understand about LSU, unless you watch all of their games, is that Brian Kelly went for a lot of ridiculous 4th downs so in a way, we're somewhat used to it. The difference is he didn't convert very well. I think even in 2023, with that elite offense, it was still below 40%.
This whole narrative that LSU fans are going to freak out when Lane goes for it on 4th and 2 at the 30 is pretty overblown. BK did it all the time.
Where he will get in trouble is doing it on his own 20 or whatever, like vs Oklahoma.

I think you are overestimating the rationality of the average LSU fan, but we shall see

Not at all, there are people who will freak out regardless. The same is true of your fanbase. But ridiculous 4th down attempts are nothing new for LSU fans.
I also think the 4th down narrative around Lane is a little overblown as he has cooled on it in recent years.

I'm leaning more towards Leavitt pump fakes to Treydez out of the RPO setand scrambles for a first down

He gave up 21 points going for it on 4th down in the get your popcorn ready game.

You obviously haven’t seen many games that Lane has coached. He will go for it on 4th and 3/4 rather than kick fgs all the time regardless how good his kicker is.

That was what? 5 years ago?
He went for it one more time on 4th down than Saban did in that game.

Lane obviously will use only former NFL players for all 4th down plays.

They should have beaten OU by much more and he went for it on 4th late in the game that almost cost him the game.

I would rather a coach who goes for it on 4th occasionally then one with no balls.

Ole Miss fans are beyond obsessed with LSU. At first I would non stop laugh at it, now it's just disturbing and creepy.

For a team you all claim to not like, they sure seem to be on your mind more than your own teams.
