Our kicker last year was nails and he still loved leaving points on the field

I was watching a lot of Ole Miss games out of boredom to check out the offense. Lane is a savant but wow does he get cute with fourth down trick plays

He was 5/7 on 4th down vs Florida.

One was 4th and goal at the 1, the other was 4th and goal at the 3.

Going for it from the 1 and 3 are fine in my book.

Play calling last season was much better on 4th down. But there were some really weird games with the play calling - barely beat a bad Washington State team (24-21) and the Florida game was the most bizarre one where it felt like he was trying to lose the game.

Pretty much every coach is going for it on 4th down from the 1 and 3, so I'm not getting too worked up about that.

He was 1/2 vs Wazzu, that was from the Wazzu 4.

1/2 vs Georgia, that one came on their last drive trying to score

2/3 vs OU, that one was from the Ole Miss 25 which is terrible.

I do like Charlie Weis Jr and Lane will always have LSU scoring points. However, I’d like him to run more of the Jeff Lebby offense. Seems like he just creates a system around who he has. Excited to see someone finally utilize Trey’dez Green.
