SEC teams have been paying players scraps under the table for years. Now, with NIL, this is all legit. This is why Texas was fine joining the SEC at this time. We didn't want to cheat, but we can outspend all of you.....combined...by a lot.

I know for a fact that UT players are given an allotment of tickets to each home game, and players are known to sell those tickets to boosters for well over face value...

How is this within the rules? NIL deals are not supposed to be tied to a specific university.
There were always going to be ways around that but this seems to be a straight forward blatant violation.

This is the world that the NIL is going to bring. Don't shed tears now after listening to others tell you since the Obannon trial that we are in the process of killing the golden goose.
So any player is getting 100k next year with the collective deal announced last week
+ 50k more for the OL
+ what ever individual deal a player gets from NIL
=
a ton of cash in 18-23 year old hands
Please tell me that they are at least going to be making these kids take some personal finance and taxes prep classes, but it is going to really screwed up when football players are getting popped by the IRS for not paying taxes...

2019 - None

If you go back even further, t.u. has had a grand total of 8 offensive linemen drafted...in ANY round...over the last 20 drafts and 14 over the last 30 drafts.
To put it into perspective, A&M had 8 offensive linemen drafted over the last 10 drafts, 14 over the last 20 drafts and 21 over the last 30 drafts.

You’ve had multiple former QBs or their girlfriends talk about getting $100 handshakes while playing for tu.
And I doubt you even have more booster money than TAMU much less than the entire conference combined.
