If you are looking at Drinkwitz and Stoops you’d be better off taking a chance on a coordinator or a young coach for a lot less money.
absolutely

Why did Florida pay so much for Napier?

Posted by Chicken on 11/12/25 at 3:52 pm
He was making $2M at ULL and then jumped to $7.2M at Florida...he was hired in 2022.

Meanwhile, Heupel was paid $2.3M at UCF and then jumped to $4M at Tennessee...he was hired in 2021. Heupel's annual salary eventually jumped to $9M after the 2022 season.

I don't think LSU was seriously looking at Napier so not sure why Florida overspent.

So, four more years after this one.

Sounds like Drink and his agent are shopping for a longer deal because he won't get much more than $9M a year...

For what it's worth, Philly basically quotes what other insiders on On3 say almost word for word.
so the OP is word for word from an "insiders" post? I thought he is contradicting what the "insiders" are saying...
How does this help LSU if this information is true?

I mean, it's obvious the drama surrounding LSU is not helping the search

what good does it serve LSU for an "insider" to make this post?

Ehhh....I think they know Tulane is a stepping stone job. If their coach is someone LSU wants, we would take him.
