Kiffin not getting snatched up likely means he won’t leave for another school, and is certainly not going back to the NFL. He’s seemingly in the best position to bring in Arch to OM.

It’s going to be a stacked SEC West once again. I could honestly see Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss and (holding my nose) aTm beating each other up, and taking turns winning the West over the next 8-10 years.

This is going to be so much fun. All good for college football.

Or, he's waiting for a better situation. He still shows a variety of moments of emotional immaturity that likely have him flagged by higher profile jobs.

If he keeps winning at Ole Miss, someone will roll the dice.

There’s more than that, though.

He wanders a lot.
Also, he has to be wanted, as well.

If we don't go to pods, Alabama and Auburn may be heading to the East. It'll be up to y'all to initiate the two new guys.

The coaching carousel is still going.

I don’t think many AD’s are enamored with Kiffin like fans are.

Kiffin also has yet to prove he can build a program long term.

You’re telling me we get to stop playing Alabama every year and get to go to Austin every other year?

I like that, I like that a lot

Lane inherited a pretty damn good QB at Ole Miss.

I'm not ready to crown him an offensive genius because he managed to beat LSU and A&M this year. Lots of teams did.

With the new TV contracts, realistically there is a pretty small number of jobs with more upside than Ole Miss and almost all of them are already in the SEC. Texas won't be open for another 2 years minimum. Oklahoma may be enticing but so far they aren't looking at him. I don't think Miami is committed enough to the sport to outpay Ole Miss, who is about to offer somewhere around an 8m/year contract.

This is fair. It is the first successful offense he has ever run.

This. I know I wouldn't want him at Alabama. I don't think he can maintain a program long term.

I'd like for Kiffin to be at OM "long term" but if you look the coaching tenures there's only a handful of long term HC's and one of them just jumped to a new job in Kelly.

"Not many AD's are enamored with Kiffin": from most accounts, Woodward not only did not interview him, his repeated response was a strong "NO!" as to any possible interest. Other than money, not sure why Kiffin would want to leave The Grove, as there should be absolutely no pressure to succeed more than he did this year.
