I would expect OM to stay in the 7-8 win range as long as Kiffin is there with the occasional chance to jump up to 9 or 10 wins like this year. Their schedule next year is pretty strange, legit chance to start 6-0 but then the back half of the schedule is brutal, everything after October 8th is a toss-up at best.

I know they've been linked to Dillon Gabriel, I'd be curious to see how his skillset translates to the SEC. I don't think he's as talented as Corral but he was very effective at UCF, albeit against lesser competition. I'm sure he'd be at least serviceable in the Kiffin/Lebby offense.

Kiffin will hit the portal hard I'm sure, but it will be difficult to replace some of the key contributors from this year right away. And transfer/JUCO guys have a tendency to be hit or miss, and it did seem like Kiffin hit on more than most teams this year. That has a tendency to even out over time (see Jackie Sherrill in the late 90's/early 2000's).

Ole Miss and A&M have never won the West. Jimbo has proven he can't do it. Kiffin might. No one wakes up one day and thinks "Wow, I want to spend the rest of my life in Mississippi".

The reality is that Kiffin can stay at Ole Miss and win the way Johnny Vaught did for 25 years. At Bama, he would have to outcoach both Saban and Bryant. OM is investing 400 million in facility upgrades for him; the entire West side of the stadium will be rebuilt according to what Kiffin would like to see. More improvements to the Manning Center for recruiting purposes. He is calling his own shots now. All of the rumors started by fans of other schools about him leaving or wanting to leave are just that. A good many of them, I notice, by State fans. Disagree with this all you want. I am telling you what's going on.

Holy hell…… I just got transported back in time to 2010 Mississippi State. I mean…. Every last detail. Upgrades…coach leaving rumors… building an absolute competitor… QB whisperer… sky the limit… the whole works.

Freaky.

Good god Arkansas fans are still hurt. It’s sad to see. 700 days of melt due to LK declining the offer to go to a better program.

Turn the page, you pathetic, poor, losers.

They were a failed 2 point conversion from having basically the same record as us

What did I say that was incorrect? Has Ole Miss won the West? Is Lane Kiffin going to retire at Ole Miss?

The answer is no to all of that.

No one in Arkansas cares about Lane Kiffin. We've already beaten him. Sam Pittman is 4-2 against Leach, Drunktitz, and Kiffin. He's doing fine.

Lane triggers Arky like nothing I've ever seen. If you truly don't care then you wouldn't be in here posting and we wouldnt have to deal with the ceaseless oinking from the pigs.

That two point conversion failed though. So you don't have the same record as us. You lost. We're 10-2, you're 8-4. We both had fine years. I don't understand why Arky fans have to be this way.

I don't know if you're familiar with Matt Corral before the Lane Train rolled into Oxford.

2018 - 16/22, 239 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 83 rushing yards, 2 TD
2019 - 105/178 (59%), 1362 yards (136.2 ypg), 6 TD, 3 INT, 135 rushing yards, 1 TD

Moreover Lane Kiffin recruited Corral to Ole Miss. He was days away from entering the portal and heading to Oregon before Kiffin was hired and Kiffin convinced him to stay.

I think he wants back into the NFL.

Kliff doing good maybe opens that door.

I'm not saying Kiffin can't develop QBs, but he's going to need more than a QB to "win like Johnny Vaught"

This is true. Don't forget we've led the conference in rushing in consecutive years.

I’m annoyed I agree with a state fan but you’re mostly right. Almost all our transfers played incredibly critical roles(Campbell, Otis Reese, springer, Robinson, sam Williams from juco)

I do think the usual will be a bit higher at 8-9 with the occasional 10-11. Every 3 years get all the right pieces in place, bring in a couple transfers and freshman to fill gaps and try to win an sec championship.

Two fcs , ooc game, vandy, sec east team that’s 5 wins.

Sec is just a brutal place to try to win but I don’t think it would surprise anyone if kiffin won 3 of auburn, miss state, am, lsu, Arkansas every year.

Umm...Notre Dame and Kelly had the pick of opponents every year since it refuses to join a conference. That is a huge advantage in winning when you can recruit nationally as they can. The SEC (particularly the West) is totally unforgiving, and there are no breathers.
