Actually it isn’t. Check out the acceptance rates of nearby colleges and universities:
Rust College (Holly Springs) 49%
Mississippi State (Starkville) 78%
Blue Mountain Christian University (Blue Mountain) 89%
Mississippi University of Women (Columbus) 90%
Mississippi Valley State (Itta Bena) 92%
Ole Miss (Oxford) 97%
Delta State (Cleveland) 100%
Hey Rebels, look at it this way, at least you can dunk on Delta State.

Every public university in Mississippi is legally required to have the same acceptance criteria. Ole Miss cannot do anything to change it.
