I was about to purchase and then I see that it is 728 pages. Why does most historical nonfiction have to be so unnecessarily lengthy? RPW's All The King's Men (which won The Pulitzer in 1947) is too long at 672 pages and it is a fictional story.
I'm interested in the topic, but not 728 pages interested. Somehow I highly doubt that Mr. McGuire posseses the same literary genius in his prose as Robert Penn Warren. Contemporary Historical Nonfiction could use a few good editors.

Nothing collegiate or sports about it.
"Geaux Font is characterized by a heavy, extended (wide) sans-serif design featuring strong, squared-off block letters with sharp, angular corners, projecting a bold, athletic, and spirited aesthetic."
Maybe if LSU had chosen an Olde English inspired font you might have a case, but these are block letters..........

True
For anyone who cares, this is the history of Geaux Font. The only thing that sucks is that LSU went out of state to have the logo designed. I'm sure there were some talented students or Louisiana based graphic designers/branding firms that could have done a great job.

I like it. It's kind of a dump. When it rains the roof leaks on you. Get the local boiled seafood. I got ruby reds last time and they were cooked to mush so they replaced them with delicious local shrimp. The fried softshell crabs is too much breading and not very good. I guess stick to the most basic local seafood.

The amount of love for Talafreako reminds me what a dark, bizarre hell hole secRant has become. Huge mistake checking in during the CWS.
