I think the B12 would be more amenable to the demands ND would make. I think they would want to maintain home game TV rights. B12 would get the benefit of televising ND when they travel.
The SEC and B1G would not.

I think they meant to say: “The B1G no longer wants them because ND turned them down in the past.”
Conjunction, junction, what’s your function? Helping Rant posters know what the frick you’re talking about.

And Texas basically destroyed that conference. Did the B12 not learn their lesson?
You would think but right now they are desperate to keep up with the BG2. Right now, all playoff expansions are either from the SEC or BG1 which favor more guaranteed spots for both and less for the ACC and B12.
The B12 is a borderline g6 conference. The ACC is a conference many of their teams would get plucked if the opportunity presented itself but not so for the B12

All this is just bluster, like a spurned teenage girl. Get mad you didn't get asked to the prom. Take it out on the guy you friend-zoned (ACC) and flirt with someone else (Big 12). I hate ND.

Here is my hot take…the Big 12 doesn’t want ND…..they don’t need a Prima Donna…….
They are doing great…the NIL and Portal rules allow teams with billionaires( TTU) to buy a team….they have all they need……

All the Major Conferences to ND...

It wouldn’t be beneficial to us if we add and expose ND and turn them into the next Arkansas. It’s nice to have select few big name frauds outside SEC/B1G to add to our OOC “resume”.

Big 12 is a conference of leftovers and table scraps at this point.
No way in hell Notre Dame joins that conference. They will end up in the ACC if they join any conference.
ACC though "beneath them" at least comes close to their own perceived delusions of grandeur....

No way Notre Dame doesn’t join the Big 10.
That’s very complicated.
ND and the B10 have a very long standing antagonistic relationship.
For awhile ND thought it was too good for the B10.
Then the sense was they were afraid to play a B10 schedule because they weren’t that good anymore.
There also an issue where UM and OSU run that conference with a strong hand. I’m not sure they want another equal/peer to mess with the status quo but would love to have the media rights deal that ND would bring but only if they don’t want lots of special treatment.

My understanding they both want it and now with ND as an AAU member it makes sense. This issue for both though is TV revenue. ND currently does not share any even with the ACC is my understanding. They want to keep their money and the B1G wants their money.
This is spot on. Notre Dame has a deal with NBC to televise all their games. If they joined SEC or B1G every game they played would be there. That would hurt their current contracts which probably requires 1st refusal for games.

They would murder family members to get ND.

Not from a media rights standpoint, they’re barely viable.

Notre Dame deserves criticism, but they're smart to avoid overly deep conferences.
A Big 12 move would actually be a sage decision for them. They're grinning looking at the void Oklahoma and Texas left behind.
Agree, the BIG12, if we had 16 teams, would have had 3 in the top 15, so even if you give 1 G5, they get 3 teams in this year. ACC only 1.
With NIL, schools in the BIG12 across the board vs the ACC, other than Miami, Clemson and Florida State can compete for 16 team playoffs. With USC no longer signing on for the Notre Dame series, that is 1 less time ND plays in California (where they recruit heavily, will likely continue given the large Catholic School football powers out there) but it gives them playing opportunities in Texas frequently with TCU, Texas Tech, Houston and Baylor.
My guess is Notre Dame and Boston College will always play regardless.

It makes perfect sense.
ND is building their own conference they can dominate every year.
It's fuggin genius and makes a lot of sense for ND.

they only got kicked out due to a technical issue.
one of their research hospitals was originally included at the main campus, but was in reality on a satellite campus, and the AAU deemed it later to not be part of the school.
This is the correct answer, the Medical School research needs to be part ot the Main campus it is related to. Nebraska's Medical School, while part of the University of Nebraska system, was not under the same Leadership structure of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (2 different University Chancellors).
LSU is set up similar, its 2 Medical Schools are within the LSU System, under same President, but not under the direct leadership of the Chancellor of LSU in Baton Rouge. Rather, they are located in New Orleans and Shreveport and report their Research Grants separately from LSU.

Hahaha, because playing the likes of Houston, UCF, and Cincinatti will really help their strength of schedule

This sounds like BS to me til I hear it from a reliable source

SEC is out because it is too difficult for their feminine sensibilities. They don't want to be staring down the barrel of a 3-4 loss season every year....no matter the talent on the team.
And that's the reality for every SEC team at the beginning of the season because of the difficulty inherent in this league.
There is not enough vagisil on the planet for these clowns.
