I would have the same sentiment if my team was 0-7 against that Texas School

Sorry , Austin is a horrible town these days. From 1980-2005, it was a great city and area but over the last 15 years it has become another SJW region.

So no thanks on UT. I am glad A&M is in the SEC. It was a good add-on.

I will be the first to admit we have some corky traditions but I don't think tv coverage of our games does justice for the overall atmosphere. They just focus on that small percent which is the Corp. Anyone that says game day atmospheres out at Kyle field are not inviting or entertaining are just lying to themselves. A&M brings that southern hospitality across the board which suites the SEC to a T.

Ag as well, but first Ag's post about Fort Worth was out of line. Amazing town, down home and classy. Seems very SEC like.

Full of $30k millionaires, just like Dallas. Who love to tell you they are nothing like people from Dallas. Plus it's an ugly, flat part of the state. Might as well living in Oklahoma. But hey, I guess it's still part of texas.

I don’t dislike A&M as an SEC team, but I feel like they deserve to be with Texas. I know things haven’t been great between them lately, but they belong together. Without Texas, the rival against whom their traditions were molded, most of their traditions just seem weird and out of place. I wish that the SEC could have added both Texas and A&M. Austin is such a great road trip and that rivalry really defines the identity of those schools more so than any other rivalry in sports. It’s the same reason that I believe that Nebraska, the Kansas schools, and Mizzou need to be together.

I completely agree but if it wasnt for the selfish decisions internally at Texas then A&M would probably still be in the Big 12. The Longhorn network and departure of Mack Brown was the best thing to ever happen to A&M.

As long as they keep their hands to themselves, then I don't mind.

This is 1000% false. It's actually the opposite. Enjoy your well deserved downvote though.

Are you sure? I mean the thread title clearly asks non-LSU fans, and yet there are probably more LSU fans in the thread than all other fan bases combined.

Unless they live in an apartment, that's impossible. A 1100 sq foot house down the street from us just got purchased for 375K and then immediately was torn down to make was for a bigger house.

Ah, you're a metroplexual. That explains a lot. Lets not turn this thread into a shite on DFW thread. That would be too easy.

I forget that they are an SEC team, to be honest. They've been rather insignificant since joining.

TCU, Baylor, Houston or SMU would've all been better additions than A&M.

What a stupid statement. Two of those got into the Big 12 because aTm left it.

Edit: My bad. From memory, Baylor was there with Ken Starr as president of the university. He was going to sue aTm for some reason when they opted out. TCU was invited in when the school in College Station was invited into the SEC.

Nice to have another good SEC West program taking over LSU's old spot.
