Let me take this carefully. There was a time when the political parties worked collegially to confirm judges. And 60 votes were required for that confirmation. In doing this the appointee had to gather approval such that a more moderate person would get to the bench. At some point the two political parties decided to quit working together. So some senator from Nevada decided to lower the threshold to a simple majority for all non SCOTUS nominees. At that point confirmed justices more closely aligned with the philosophy of the majority in power.
Fast forward to the point where the political parties started to hate each other. The judges reflect that philosophy.
It's even more complex that this but I've written enough except to say SCOTUS nominees only require a simple majority now.

This MAGA stuff will exhaust itself after the mid terms. Even if by some miracle, Trump hold onto congress, the focus will quickly shift to the next election and those candidates. Maybe Trump will call them names, maybe not. And there is no way in the next set of republican primaries a candidate will run as MAGA with the fervor that Trump did. So this MAGA stuff is going away. And the cultist here will have no central figure championing their cause.
