So I've had a Lightning since January 2023. I have 52,000 miles on it. When I got it, fully charged it showed about 320 miles of range. Currently it charges to about 315 miles though I usually choose to charge it to 85%.
The only maintenance I've had is software updates.
And somewhere I read that the prediction for EVs is that they will degrade to only a 50% charge in 40 years.
I can't tow a boat far but damn for a rural guy, it is great at gong in and out of town. I think I'll always have one EV. We fill our Acura up about once a month.

Always remember interstellar civilizations must travel much faster than the speed of light, which is a constant. So when you consider the light they emit travels much slower than the craft they are in, there is no reason to have lights. And if they do, it will take a billion years until they see the light they emitted.
