5 pages into a thread specifically asking non-LSU types whether we fit in, yet there’s a flood of them saying “no” while most others are good with it.

Agsession is real.

Yes...

There was a rumor just before we entered the conference that it was A&M who told SEC officials Mizzou would be a great addition to the SEC.

Nice fans, always have been, even back in the Big 12.

Texas is a conference killer, I wouldn't want that school anywhere near the SEC. A&M is a great addition to the SEC

Didn’t think it was such a good idea when JM showed up in Tuscaloosa and refused to be sacked.

WHAT does a personal political stance have to do with the opinion of an entire school?

Especially when NOT asked on the political board?

UT, self explanatory. Massive blue blood brand. Austin. History. Natural fit within the SEC. Similar to having Georgia because folks love the trip there & the program is storied. Their traditions are original and unique but not in a weird way like some others

Natural fit my arse... If anyone has ever complained about the SEC offices in Birmingham or Bama favoritism, that's what UT brings to the table. Greedy, having a hand (even if small) in having Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, and Mizzou leave the Big 12-2. I'd rather have nothing to do with them. A&M is a welcome addition

A&M is a team we have great history with. Hate losing to them but I think they are a great addition to the conference and I enjoy playing them in major sports.

The only people who don’t understand this have either not been fully exposed to their machinations (many here) or are beneficiaries of and beholden to it (see Oklahoma).

I always find these threads hilarious. You think we care about what you rednecks think? We are here as a business decision. Nothing more, nothing less. We feel no kinship with any of you

Since the start of our invitation to come to the SEC, LSU has acted like we stole their lunch money. There has always been good natured back and forth with other schools but for some reason LSU is obessed with us. This thread is an example. It specifically ask an opinion from Non LSU fans but it appears most of the negative responses are from LSU fans, who were specifically asked to not respond.

Little man syndrome?

It’s tradition after you win the NCAs at Daytona you celebrate in the water.

I'm surprised more people don't know that.

Especially folks given to combining about whether other schools have female cheerleaders or not

This is dumb. A&M is harmless and has some interesting traditions.

Mizzou is the unconventional add. No traditions, history, etc., but a big market.

Glad you feel this way, because no-one views arse to mouth as anything other than transactional.

No. I wish we would have gotten a different school that would spice the conference up more.

A&M is a free win. Great addition to pad the stats.
