Play the semis two weeks after the conference championship games, then play the NCG two weeks later.

Agree. There’s no reason to wait 4 weeks to start the payoffs.

The last game of the season was Dec 6(or November 30 if you were bama........ )

To have the national title on Jan 15,over a month later, when only two games max are played by a team is so dumb

How is it any different than preparing week in and week out during the regular season?

The fact that there are like 60 media junkets throughout the course of the week that coaches and players are forced to attend.

Read through the thread. It's a bowl game in terms of player/coach commitments for media availability, events, being on site.

It's completely different than a regular season game.

What they should do is decrease the overall number of games for player health and safety rather than extending the season to appease fans. These are college kids who are putting their livelihoods on the line for no real benefit at this point.

Only those who have been on the beach can complain about the hot sand. A lot of you haven't even seen the damn ocean.

I said the same think for the SEC championship game. We should have a bye week after playing Bama. What’s the rush?

Before he even spoke about it, I thought 2 weeks would make most sense.

He'll be fine. He had a few bonus weeks off while he watched the #1 and #2 SEC teams battle it out for an SEC championship game

Plus, I don't really remember Nick talking about "what is best for the players" when he sat at home watching LSU win the SEC championship game in 2011 either..

It would certainly help the fans. That's a lot of scratch in one week especially for Georgia tickets for this game are ridiculously expensive. 2500 was a figure reported today.

Well then, let just cancel school until the playoffs are done so they can have all the time they need.

This is a terrible statement from Sagan.

If you’re scared, Nick, say you’re scared.
