Jim Taylor’s touchdown in Super Bowl 1 was the first rushing touchdown in Super Bowl history.

It's just sounding more and more like he's going to be starter at one of the Guard spots

This will give us some great depth at the guard positions with Curne, Mubenga, Chester, and probably Thomas all competing for starting positions. This competition should make them all better.

Yeah, so very similar stats to that of BSwinson heading into his Senior season this year.

Their junior year stats are very similar…

Swinson had 35 tackles, 6.5 TFL’s & 2 sacks his junior year.

Butler had 22 tackles, 7 TFL’s & 2 sacks his junior year.

Butler’s sophomore season with 5.5 sacks & 9 TFL’s is on par with Harold Perkins’ sophomore season, 5.5 sacks & 13 TFL’s, and BJ Ojulari’s junior season, 5.5 sacks and 8.5 TFL’s.

Butler has the potential to have a really good senior season.

now becoming more and more a thing losing top Louisiana talent in a bad need pos like dt

What top Louisiana talent did LSU lose out on last year (2024 class)?

LSU signed the consensus 5 star DT and top player in Louisiana last year.
Very similar. 2002 Bama game is still the worst game I have sat through in Tiger Stadium. The game Saturday night was very close.

Interesting that 2002 was also Year 3 for Saban. Finished 8-5 that year with a couple other blow out losses (26-8 to VA Tech & 31-7 to Auburn).

what if I told you that Milroe throws more interceptions per attempt than Nuss. Stats can be misleading.

Correct, but they are pretty close in interceptions per attempt… Nuss throws an interception every 37 pass attempts (9 out of 333) and Milroe throws an interception every 34 pass attempts (6 out of 203).

They are also almost identical in TD to INT ratio… Nuss is 2.22 to 1 (20-9) and Milroe is 2.17 to 1 (13-6).

I’ll do $250 for the pair. That’s $74 less than I paid for them through LSU.

Then you aren't really a Cubs fan.

I like Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow. I hope they have bad games against the Saints.

So you aren’t really a fan of Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow then (using your logic).

ETA: I personally don’t believe that. I think it just means you are more of Saints fan than you are a former LSU player fan. No problem with that.

I’m more of an LSU fan and former LSU player fan than I am a Cubs fan.

My sister is a huge Cubs fan. She's hoping Skenes pitches six scoreless innings, then gets replaced by a reliever who blows the game.

That’s a reasonable approach.

I’m a Cubs fan, but no way in hell am I going to root against Paul Skenes.

I’m an LSU fan first and root for all former LSU players to be successful. Everything else comes second.

Appeared in 34 games 11 starts last year Made 30 tackles

Except for Jordan Jefferson (36), 30 tackles is more than any of our interior Defensive Linemen (DT’s & NT’s) had last season.

Sounds like he’d be more than a respectable depth piece, unless there’s significant improvement from the current guys on the roster.

Search "LSU" on the app. It will come up there.

Yep. This is how I found it.
Can you name a year when we did better at recruiting the top in state talent?

If LSU paid 2 million to a coach, when he could have been had for 1 million

You think coordinators at major programs only make $1 million per year? We have position coaches that make that or close to it.

ETA: LSU’s wide receiver coach makes $900,000 per year.
Wingo came here because of Steeples who was his high school coach. He may have had an idea that Steeples was being fired and that could have factor into his decision to leave. Definitely not going to change his mind with Steeples gone.

I’m a rivals guy and we have no 5 stars in this class unfortunately

Rivals says McKinley is the #2 player in the state and #3 DL in the country. #55 overall player in the country.

And he did have an Alabama offer, according to Rivals, along with FSU and others.

But you still don’t think this is a big recruiting win?
It’s tough man. I feel for you.

I’ve been going through the same with my dad the last two weeks. He spent 10 days in the hospital and got moved to an inpatient/skilled nursing rehab facility on Thursday. He’ll be there a couple of weeks through the holidays, then have to find a permanent place for him to live.

It’s hard to get in the holiday spirit with all this going on. Going to try to make the best of it for Christmas.

Is your mom in Baton Rouge?

Happy to see this. Makes me feel better. That initial one had me worried.
