He's right for one main reason - while they don't do as much "bowl stuff" as they do for regular bowl games, they still have to do stuff for the Championship game (media sessions, etc) on site in the city the game is being played. That's fine if you have 10-14 days (like the Super Bowl). That's bullshite when you have a normal week.
Not to mention Georgia is flying back from California, will probably be in Athens for like 3 days, then has to go to Atlanta (it's close but that is irrelevant) and set up shop again.
And, that doesn't even take into account the rush it puts on fans.
It's just dumb. They should do 2 weeks like the Super Bowl.

They don't have to go to 14 media events the final 60 hours before a game in the regular season.

Again - we get that none of you have done this before, but they don't just ride into town the night before the game like they do during the regular season.
If everything else was like the regular season, you would be right. It isn't. It's like a bowl game. And that's fine for bowls because you have a month. You have a regular week for this game plus the demands of a bowl game.
It's stupid.
