I agree, that’s not much time to turn around and gameplan for another team. That’s one of the reasons I wanted Georgia to beat Oklahoma, because I think it is simpler to gameplan for a team that is a lot like Bama.

I don’t get why the powers that be are so stuck on the title game being on Monday night. When Alabama won it in 09, it was on a Thursday night. That was so much better.

Having three extra days would give you the practice time of a regular week, with additional days to do the media stuff so that it doesn’t interfere with practice schedule/football activities. It just makes sense.

I actually do think it should be 10 days

Agreed. Not thrilled about a one week turnaround after the semifinal games. Hasn't it been longer than a week the first 3 years of the playoffs? I know one year was 9-10 days.

The biggest problem with the current setup is fans do not have adequate time to plan a trip to teh championship game.

You have no idea if you'll win the semifinal and then if you do you somehow have to book a flight, hotel, and get tickets all in a week? It's not easy.

With bowl games you have time to plan.

And with the regular season you know the schedule well in advance.

Maybe it is just luck. But it is not like next weekend is sneaking up on anyone.

I don't think preparations to ATL for either fan base are extremely complicated this season.

If it was OU,tOSU, or UCF then you may have more of a point.

The fans got lucky this year.

What is the narrative going to be once Bama loses their second straight national championship game?

Two years ago was a great example, both Alabama and Clemson were somehow scrambling to book plans in Phoenix in a week. Flights and hotels were a nightmare.

So a team that's been in EVERY playoff ever played needs a narrative if they lose in the finals? ..really?
How many have y'all been in?

A little bitter because AUs fight didn't go so well, are you. Saban is worth every penny of the $49 million you gave a man already on your payroll. A man who couldn't coach up his team for the SEC and couldn't even manage to beat UCF. I'm surprised AU is not spitting on him and the AD who thought keeping this guy was a good idea. Enjoy him! You are going to be stuck him for a long time. Your budget took a big hit. And just when y'all need huge bucks to buy enough toilet paper to clean up all that tiger crap you left on the field In Atlanta. We'd really appreciate if you could get it all up before Monday. Bama and Georgia have a little get together planned for that evening. Too bad you weren't invited.
