Saban wanted a 9 game conference schedule, but he can’t pick and choose which bottom feeders he gets to play, so now he’s whining about it.
How stupid are you? We still can't get your coach or any SEC coach for that matter to even volunteer for 9 conference games. The SEC has got the most cowardly bunch of head coaches in the country. Coach Saban is the ONLY guy, time and again, that wanted to toughen things up.
And that includes "Less" Miles and Red Bull.

But righr now he sounds like a spoiled child.
When you have 194 wins over 16 seasons at the school you coach at you can afford to be a spoiled child, too.

It think it’s a bad idea because 3 teams will get Bama or UGA or LSU or Tennessee
And 3 teams will get fricking Vandy every damn year.

Those sacred cow games made the SEC what it is because people from NY to WA will tune in to watch even if it’s just to hope Bama gets beat.
Its fair to ask why Bama which generates a massively disproportionate amount of TV revenue for the conference should get punished from a schedule perspective just because not enough other teams can trigger media buys with their matchups.

But the great thing about the new format is that every team gets to play each other every other year.
Is that set in stone or will it be Home & Home for 2 years then swtich.
I'm with you though, the best thing about the potential 3-6 format is getting to play every team in the conference home & away in 4 years. That was the awesome part of the 12-team SEC scheduling.

As Alabama’s head coach he is a collective 38-11 against Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee but please continue this narrative.
What’s his winning percentage against the other 12 teams?

LSU’s strength of schedule has ranked in the top 10 pretty much every year of the last 20 years. We play a strong non conference opponent every season. LSU doesn’t run from competition.
But we all know how Saban got the SEC to change the 2012 and 2013 “bridge schedule” to give Bama an easier path. We don’t forget.

I mean he has a 24-6 record vs those three teams the last 10 years so I doubt he’s that scared

The frick?
From 1989-1999, Alabama-Tennessee was a Top 15 match-up seven times. Three or four of those games featured both teams ranked inside the Top 10.

they'll get MSU as their 3rd opponent because of history and common sense,

LSU BAMA is the most watched game most years lately.

I’d rather an Auburn or Arkansas over Kentucky tbh

Is this where LSU fans, who bitched incessantly about having to play Florida every year, start acting brave now that Florida stinks?
*Cue the revisionist historians on here who will chime in, "I've aaaaaallllways enjoyed the Florida game."

The SEC went to East and West Divisions in 1992.
LSU has played UGA 8 times in the regular season since then so that Bama can play Tennessee (and Auburn/UGA) every season.
8 times in 31 seasons. It’s like we aren’t even in the same conference.

Ok then Ole Miss gets Vandy (oldest rivalry), State, and LSU

Look stupid, BAMA came out of the West just like LSU. Our OOC schedule has been as tough as anyone in the country.
But LSU never wanted any part of a 9 game SEC conference schedule and you know it. The SEC coaches and ADs have been running scare for decades while the B1G, Pac 12, and Big 12 have been willing to man up.
That is history and it's in your face.

The SEC’s exact 10-year metric is unclear. But using league records from 2013 to ’22, the top-half finishers in winning percentage are Alabama (88.8), Georgia (79), Oklahoma (78.2), LSU (63.4), Florida (57.3), Texas (54.3), Auburn (53.6) and Texas A&M (53). The bottom half is Missouri (47.5), Mississippi State (46.3), Ole Miss (44.4), Tennessee and South Carolina (both 41.4), Kentucky (39), Arkansas (25.6) and Vanderbilt (19.7).
Oof! It's been a rough decade.

CFB TV Ratings 2022
Are there any trends that anyone can identify with the top rating games of the year for the SEC?
Feel free to lookup 2021 or 2020 instead if you prefer.
*spoiler alert: it’ll look very similar.*
The SEC was built on equal revenue sharing and more or less every school having the same voice and no one is suggesting that should change.
It’s not reasonable to ask one or two schools to have to jeopardize playoff and championship opportunities just because the lower tier schools aren’t pulling their weight from a revenue generation perspective.

I've got an idea!
Let every team's 3 opponents have a minimum number of SEC championships to have won in the last (# of years to be decided) and for newer members, figure the average number for the years they're been members.
An alternative would be to figure ALL teams average year end rank, and make a maximum number they can have...tie numbers would be NO problem.
