How'd you get 10 venues? Are you counting 1st Rd games? Those are on campus so don't affect the bowls. After that only 7 venues are needed: 4 for quarter finals, 2 for semifinals, 1 for NCG.

If A&M beats Texas, then Texas is left out of the SECCG since their other conference opponents are arse

Yeah it's a weird system.

IMO tie-breaker rules should seek to eliminate teams until you can get to H2H.

So instead of rewarding the team with the best conf opponent winning %. Remove the team with the worst % then re-do the tiebreakers. Repeat as necessary until 2-teams remain.

But with the possibility of 8 teams finishing 6-2 in SEC play and not a lot of H2H matchups between them, it'll still come down to some weird tiebreaker rules.

I could see them trying to add some wrinkles.

Why would they waste time doing that?

This is a paycheck game and they have already clinched an FCS playoff spot. I wouldn't be surprised if they rest some starters and/or just work on things for their remaining conference game that would guarantee them a bye.

5th seed is the ideal seed and the easiest path to the semifinals.

5th seed hosts the 12th seed, which is almost guaranteed to be the top ranked G5 team.

Then in the 2nd round the 5th seed would play the 4th seed, which is the lowest ranked P4 champ
5 different teams in 5 different years too

2010 - Auburn
2012 - A&M
2015 - Ole Miss
2019 - LSU
2023 - Texas

That's due to scheme. KDB prefers a man blocking scheme with pulling guards. Saban, at least in the last few years, was using a zone-blocking scheme.
This reminds me of the stat that Stetson Bennett and Lamar Jackson were born in the same year (Jackson is one class ahead of Bennett). By the time Bennett made his first CFB start (2020 season), Jackson had won the Heisman and the NFL MVP.

I'm so glad the COVID years will be done after this season.
Also, it should be noted that the FY 2023 means 7/1/2022 to 6/30/2023, which is the 2022 CFB season where we didn't make the CFP and so lost some potential revenue there.

Not sure it explains the whole $5.75M drop in that category but likely makes it less eye-popping.
Didn't Ballou come from Indiana while KD was there?

Eh I'd say Treylon Burks lit us up more than Jefferson.

I like this team because the defense and special teams are awesome. It's also fun to watch them grow and improve week to week.

I dislike this team because I had zero expectations and they sometimes fail to even live up to that!
I assumed he was an LSU alter trying out a new angle before the FSU loss

You have to get the sports add-on to get SECN on sling.

YTTV was good. Even at $75 I think it's worth it. Unlimited DVR and you can ask it to record ALL of the CFB games.

The fact that Clay Travis is considered a sports journalist tells you all you need to know about the state of sports journalism these days.
Milroe vs A&M - 12/19, 111 yds, 1 int

Alabama as a team had 3 fumbles lost but one of those was Jase McClellan.

Have a look for yourself

How did Lonergan look? Is he still pushing for time or pretty clearly behind the other 3?

What about the DL & ILB? Does the D look more solid through the middle? That was one of the glaring weaknesses last year.

ETA: thanks for all the tidbits Boz!

True but last year the B12 Champ had 3 losses.

And that ended up being a poor choice in hindsight.

In your scenario I think Texas get's the 4th spot with B1G champ, Clemson, & Bama.

Another scenario is:

-Undefeated B1G champ
-Undefeated ACC champ
-12-1 SEC Champ Bama, only loss to TX

Safe to assume those 3 teams are in. Then you have to pick a 4th from:

-11-2 SEC runner-up UGA (close loss to UT, double-digit loss to Bama in SECCG)
-12-1 B12 runner-up TX (i.e. their only loss is in B12 championship)
-11-2 B12 champ (with one of those losses to TX in the regular season)
-12-1 P12 runner-up USC (i.e. their only loss is in P12 championship)
-12-2 P12 champ (with one of those losses to USC in the regular season)

No 2 loss team has ever made the playoffs, but do you take the conf runner up over the conf champ just because the conf champ has 2 losses?
