Why can't an NFL team offer a player $100,000,000 to play for their team? Because there are RULES in place (salary cap) to prevent this.

You have no comprehension of what you are arguing.

The NFL can't offer a player $100M.
But Nike can.
Nike is NIL.

Hell... the NFL can't regulate the marketing deals signed by the players. And the NFL has antitrust exemptions.

You are arguing because you are angry.
Not because you have anything coherent to add.

Big government making decisions based on feelings and not facts is what is wrong with this country.

He, like everyone else, is doing everything they can to win. He knows the game and how it’s played on and off the field. I agree that the current system of NIL combined with the transfer portal has a lot of issues but getting the federal government involved is never a good solution.

Students are coming in more and more with an entitlement syndrome and he is having trouble motivating them using the same approach he has in the past. Welcome to what every teacher is going through right now across America. Government isn’t the solution… fixing the culture of instant gratification is.

Hey Nick, your problem is the portal not NIL.

This was the last paragraph of my post:

And before you state that the money is being made "outside of football", people are being ridiculously naive if they do not realize that it will primarily be used to "pay for play".

You respond with this gem:

It appears that YOU are the dumbass that lacks the skill of comprehension.

Try again loser.......

Who else would you want other than the man who runs the most prestigious conference in the country?

I disagree.

So, Little Nicky not only had a top #1 or #2 recruiting class for over a decade. Then he had to raid the portal for the following:

- #1 OT
- #1 LB
- #1 CB
- #1 RB
- #1 WR

And he still couldn't get into the playoffs even though we all said Bama had the best team in the history of Bama before the season started!

The decline has been in-process for a couple years, and it will continue for the next couple years.

"No it wont"

That's the loop hole.
I can pay a quarterback $30k to paint me a landscape (didn't hunter Biden get $5M for a painting?).
I can pay $100k to advertise my business. All he has to do is come by once (probably for a free meal).

You contest that it is pay for play and he and I contest that it isn't.
Who wins in court?
And who gets countersued for slander and costs?

He's saying what every other coach believes but won't say. If this NIL mess gets straightened out I want all of you to give this man the credit. At least he has the nuts to speak up.
All of you bitch and complain about NIL but when someone tries to do something about it he's an idiot.

He has already told Gump fans to have those Christmas stockings filled with tickets to the playoffs. Gump parents told little Johnny that you ain't gonna get new shoes son and we used your allowance money to buy more tickets to more future playoff games!

Congress started this mess. Then the States finished NIL off with bylaws that would make the old West blush.

Coach Saban being the voice of reason and college football may be the only hope at this point.

think most of us here hate NIL for what it's become, which is never what it was intended to be.
If only the NCAA has slapped sanctions on bama and Saban when you were paying players, buying cars and rims and giving away free suits from Tom Albetar we wouldnt be in the situation...alas, Bama's corrupt connections allowed Saban to buy steal and cheat his way to national championships and number 1 recruiting classes year after year and now we have the NIL

And Saban is a straight up bitch for wanting to change the rules because he isnt winning. Same shite he did when Chiz was sending limos and whole coaching staffs to recruit players...Saban cried like a bitch and had the rules committee ban the recruiting practice. The fricking deck has been stackd for bama for decades and now their bitch coach is crying about it. frick bama and frick saban

I keep hearing that, but considering we’re about to see the first 3-peat since the 1930’s not sure it’s accurate.
